Deuteronomy 2:30-37
30But SihonH5511 the kingH4428 of HeshbonH2809 wouldH14 not let us passH5674 by him; for Jehovah thy 1GodH430 hardenedH7185 his spiritH7307, and madeH5414 his heartH3824 obdurate, that he might giveH5414 him into thy handH3027, as it is this dayH3117. 31And Jehovah saidH559 to me, Behold, I beginH2490 to giveH5414 SihonH5511 and his landH776 before thee: beginH2490, takeH3423 possessionH3423, that thou mayest possessH3423 his landH776. 32And SihonH5511 cameH3318 out against us for battleH4421, he and all his peopleH5971, to JahazH3096. 33But Jehovah our 2GodH430 gaveH5414 him up before us; and we smote him, and his sonsH1121, and his whole peopleH5971. 34And we tookH3920 all his citiesH5892 at that timeH6256, and utterly destroyed every cityH5892, men, and womenH802, and littleH2945 onesH2945: we let none escape. 35OnlyH7535 the cattleH929 we tookH3920 as bootyH7998 for ourselves, and the spoilH7998 of the citiesH5892 which we tookH3920. 36From AroerH6177, which is on the bankH8193 of the river ArnonH769, and the cityH5892 that is in the ravine even to GileadH1568, there wasH1961 not one cityH5892 too strong for us: Jehovah our 3GodH430 delivered all before us. 37OnlyH7535 thou didst not approach the landH776 of the children of AmmonH5983, the whole border of the riverH5158 JabbokH2999, nor the citiesH5892 of the mountainH2022, nor to whatsoever Jehovah our 4GodH430 had forbidden us.
