Deuteronomy 16:18-22
18JudgesH8199 and officersH7860 shalt thou makeH5414 thee in all thy gatesH8179, which Jehovah thy 1GodH430 giveth thee, throughout thy tribesH7626, that they may judgeH8199 the peopleH5971 with just judgmentH4941. 19Thou shalt not wrest judgmentH4941; thou shalt not respect persons, neither takeH3947 a bribeH7810; for the bribeH7810 blindeth the eyesH5869 of the wiseH2450, and perverteth the wordsH1697 of the righteousH6662. 20Perfect justice shalt thou follow, that thou mayest liveH2421, and possessH3423 the landH776 that Jehovah thy 2GodH430 giveth thee. 21Thou shalt not plantH5193 thyself an AsherahH842 of any woodH6086 near unto the altarH4196 of Jehovah thy 3GodH430, which thou shalt makeH6213 thee. 22Neither shalt thou setH6965 thee up a statue, which Jehovah thy 4GodH430 hateth.
