Deuteronomy 12:29-32
29When Jehovah thy 1GodH430 cutteth off from before thee the nationsH1471 whither thou goest, to takeH3423 possessionH3423 of them, and thou hast dispossessedH3423 them, and dwellest in their landH776, 30takeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself that thou be not ensnared [to follow] after them, after that they are destroyedH8045 from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their 2godsH430, sayingH559, HowH349 did these nationsH1471 serveH5647 their 3godsH430? even soH3651 will I do likewise. 31Thou shalt not do soH3651 to Jehovah thy 4GodH430; for every [thingH8441 that is] abominationH8441 to Jehovah, which he hateth, have they done unto their 5godsH430; for even their sonsH1121 and their daughtersH1323 have they burnedH8313 in the fireH784 to their 6godsH430. 32Everything that I command you, ye shall take heed to do it; thou shalt not add thereto, nor take from it.
