Acts 12:19-25
19And HerodG2264 having soughtG1934 him and not foundG2147 him, having examined the guardsG5441, commandedG2753 [them] to be executed. And he went downG2718 from Judaea to CaesareaG2542 and stayedG1304 [there]. 20And he wasG1510 in bitter hostility with [the] Tyrians and Sidonians; but they came to him with oneG3661 accordG3661, and, having gained Blastus the king's chamberlain, sought peaceG1515, because their countryG5561 wasG1510 nourishedG5142 by the king's. 21And on a set dayG2250, clothed in royalG937 apparelG2066 and sittingG2523 on the elevated seatG968 [of honour], HerodG2264 made a public oration to them. 22And the people cried out, A 1god's voiceG5456 and not a man's. 23And immediatelyG3916 an angelG32 of [the] LordG2962 smote him, because he did not giveG1325 the gloryG1391 to 2GodG2316, and he expired, eaten of worms. 24But the wordG3056 of 3GodG2316 grewG837 and spread itself. 25And BarnabasG921 and SaulG4569 returnedG5290 from JerusalemG2419, having fulfilled the serviceG1248 [entrusted to them], takingG4838 alsoG2532 with them JohnG2491, surnamed MarkG3138.
