1Now when all this was finishedH3615, all IsraelH3478 that were present wentH3318 out to the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, and brake in pieces the pillarsH4676, and hewed down the Asherim, and brake down the highH1116 placesH1116 and the altarsH4196 out of all JudahH3063 and BenjaminH1144, in EphraimH669 also and ManassehH4519, until they had destroyedH3615 them all. Then all the children of IsraelH3478 returnedH7725, every manH376 to his possessionH272, into their own citiesH5892.

2And HezekiahH2396 appointedH5975 the courses of the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 after their courses, every manH376 according to his serviceH5656, both the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881, for burnt-offerings and for peace-offerings, to minister, and to giveH3034 thanksH3034, and to praiseH1984 in the gatesH8179 of the campH4264 of Jehovah. 3He appointedH4150 also the king’sH4428 portionH4521 of his substance for the burnt-offerings, to wit, for the morningH1242 and eveningH6153 burnt-offerings, and the burnt-offerings for the sabbathsH7676, and for the newH2320 moonsH2320, and for the set feastsH4150, as it is writtenH3789 in the lawH8451 of Jehovah. 4Moreover he commanded the peopleH5971 that dweltH3427 in JerusalemH3389 to giveH5414 the portionH4521 of the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881, that they might giveH5414 themselves to the lawH8451 of Jehovah. 5And as soon as the commandment cameH935 abroad, the children of IsraelH3478 gave in abundanceH7230 the first-fruits of grainH1715, newH8492 wineH8492, and oilH3323, and honeyH1706, and of all the increaseH7235 of the fieldH7704; and the titheH4643 of all thingsH1697 broughtH935 they in abundantly. 6And the children of IsraelH3478 and JudahH3063, that dweltH3427 in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063, they alsoH1571 broughtH935 in the titheH4643 of oxenH1241 and sheepH6629, and the titheH4643 of dedicated thingsH6944 which were consecratedH6942 unto Jehovah their GodH430, and laid them by heapsH6194. 7In the thirdH7992 monthH2320 they beganH2490 to lay the foundation of the heapsH6194, and finishedH3615 them in the seventhH7637 monthH2320. 8And when HezekiahH2396 and the princesH8269 cameH935 and sawH7200 the heapsH6194, they blessedH1288 Jehovah, and his peopleH5971 IsraelH3478. 9Then HezekiahH2396 questioned the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 concerning the heapsH6194. 10And AzariahH5838 the chiefH7218 priestH3548, of the houseH1004 of ZadokH6659, answered him and saidH559, Since the peopleH5971 beganH2490 to bringH935 the oblations into the houseH1004 of Jehovah, we have eatenH398 and had enough, and have leftH3498 plenty: for Jehovah hath blessedH1288 his peopleH5971; and that which is leftH3498 is this great store.

11Then HezekiahH2396 commanded to prepareH3559 chambers in the houseH1004 of Jehovah; and they preparedH3559 them; 12and they broughtH935 in the oblations and the tithesH4643 and the dedicated thingsH6944 faithfully. And over them Conaniah the LeviteH3881 was rulerH5057, and ShimeiH8096 his brotherH251 was secondH4932; 13and JehielH3171, and AzaziahH5812, and NahathH5184, and AsahelH6214, and JerimothH3406, and JozabadH3107, and ElielH447, and Ismachiah, and MahathH4287, and BenaiahH1141, were overseersH6496 under the handH3027 of Conaniah and ShimeiH8096 his brotherH251, by the appointment of HezekiahH2396 the kingH4428, and AzariahH5838 the rulerH5057 of the houseH1004 of GodH430. 14And KoreH6981 the sonH1121 of ImnahH3232 the LeviteH3881, the porter at the eastH4217 gate, was over the freewill-offerings of GodH430, to distribute the oblations of Jehovah, and the most holyH6944 thingsH6944. 15And under him were EdenH5731, and MiniaminH4509, and JeshuaH3442, and ShemaiahH8098, AmariahH568, and ShecaniahH7935, in the citiesH5892 of the priestsH3548, in their office of trust, to giveH5414 to their brethren by courses, as well to the greatH1419 as to the smallH6996: 16besides them that were reckoned by genealogyH3187 of malesH2145, from threeH7969 yearsH8141 old and upwardH4605, even every one that entered into the houseH1004 of Jehovah, as the dutyH4931 of every dayH3117 required, for their serviceH5656 in their offices according to their courses; 17and them that were reckoned by genealogy of the priestsH3548 by their fathers’H1 housesH1004, and the LevitesH3881 from twentyH6242 yearsH8141 old and upwardH4605, in their offices by their courses; 18and them that were reckoned by genealogy of all their littleH2945 onesH2945, their wivesH802, and their sonsH1121, and their daughtersH1323, through all the congregation: for in their office of trust they sanctifiedH6942 themselves in holinessH6944. 19Also for the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 the priestsH3548, that were in the fieldsH7704 of the suburbs of their citiesH5892, in every cityH5892, there were menH376 that were mentioned by nameH8034, to giveH5414 portionsH4490 to all the malesH2145 among the priestsH3548, and to all that were reckoned by genealogyH3187 among the LevitesH3881.

20And thus did HezekiahH2396 throughout all JudahH3063; and he wrought that which was goodH2896 and rightH3477 and faithful before Jehovah his GodH430. 21And in every workH4639 that he beganH2490 in the serviceH5656 of the houseH1004 of GodH430, and in the lawH8451, and in the commandmentsH4687, to seekH1875 his GodH430, he did it with all his heartH3824, and prospered.
