Darby Bible
Chronicles 28:9-15
But a prophetH5030 of Jehovah was there, whose nameH8034 was OdedH5752; and he wentH3318 out before the hostH6635 that cameH935 to SamariaH8111, and saidH559 unto them, Behold, because Jehovah the 1GodH430 of your fathersH1 was wroth with JudahH3063, he gaveH5414 them into your handH3027, and ye have slainH2026 them in a rageH2534 that reaches up to heavenH8064.
And nowH6258 ye think to subjugate the children of JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389 as your bondmen and bondwomen. Are there not with you, even with you, trespasses against Jehovah your 2GodH430?
And nowH6258 hearH8085 me, and send backH7725 the captivesH7633 again, whom ye have takenH7617 captiveH7617 of your brethren; for the fierce wrath of Jehovah is upon you.
And certain of the headsH7218 of the children of EphraimH669, AzariahH5838 the sonH1121 of JohananH3076, Berechiah the sonH1121 of MeshillemothH4919, and Hezekiah the sonH1121 of ShallumH7967, and AmasaH6021 the sonH1121 of Hadlai, stoodH6965 up against them that cameH935 from the warH6635,
and saidH559 to them, Ye shall not bringH935 in the captivesH7633 hither; because, for our guiltH819 before Jehovah, ye think to increaseH3254 our sinsH2403 and our trespasses: for our trespass is greatH7227, and fierce wrath is upon IsraelH3478.
Then the armedH2502 men leftH5800 the captivesH7633 and the spoil before the princesH8269 and all the congregation.
And the menH376 that have been expressed by nameH8034 roseH6965 up, and tookH2388 the captivesH7633, and with the spoilH7998 clothedH3847 all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gaveH8248 them to eatH398 and to drinkH8248, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them on asses, and broughtH935 them to JerichoH3405 the cityH5892 of palm-trees, to their brethren. And they returnedH7725 to SamariaH8111.
