Chronicles 25:16-20
And it came to pass as he talked with him, that [Amaziah] saidH559 to him, Hast thou beenH1961 madeH6213 the king's counsellor? Forbear; whyH4100 shouldest thou beH1961 smitten? Then the prophetH5030 forbore, and saidH559, I knowH3045 that 1GodH430 has determined to destroyH7843 thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened to my counselH6098.
And AmaziahH558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 took counselH3289, and sentH7971 to JoashH3101 the sonH1121 of JehoahazH3059, the sonH1121 of JehuH3058, kingH4428 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ComeH1980, let us lookH7200 one another in the faceH6440.
And JoashH3101 kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 sentH7971 to AmaziahH558 kingH4428 of JudahH3063, sayingH559, The thorn-bush that is in LebanonH3844 sentH7971 to the cedarH730 that is in LebanonH3844, sayingH559, GiveH5414 thy daughterH1323 to my sonH1121 as wifeH802; and there passedH5674 by the wild beast that is in LebanonH3844, and trode down the thorn-bush.
Thou thinkest, Lo, thou hast smitten EdomH123; and thy heartH3820 has liftedH5375 thee up to boast: abide nowH6258 at home; whyH4100 shouldest thou contend with misfortune, that thou shouldest fallH5307, thou and JudahH3063 with thee?
But AmaziahH558 would not hearH8085; for it was of 2GodH430, that he might deliver them into [the enemy's] handH3027, because they had soughtH1875 after the 3godsH430 of EdomH123.
