Samuel 6:4-18

Then they saidH559, What is the trespass-offering which we shall returnH7725 to him? And they saidH559, FiveH2568 golden hemorrhoids, and fiveH2568 golden miceH5909, the numberH4557 of the lords of the PhilistinesH6430; for oneH259 plagueH4046 is upon them all, and upon your lords.

And ye shall makeH5414 imagesH6754 of your hemorrhoids, and imagesH6754 of your miceH5909 that destroyH7843 the landH776, and giveH5414 gloryH3519 to the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478: perhapsH194 he will lightenH7043 his handH3027 from off you, and from off your 2godsH430, and from off your landH776.

And whyH4100 will ye harden your heartH3820, as the EgyptiansH4713 and PharaohH6547 hardened their heartH3820? WhenH834 he had wrought mightily among them, did they not let them goH7971, and they departed?

And nowH6258 makeH6213 a newH2319 cartH5699, and takeH3947 twoH8147 milch kine, on which there has comeH5927 no yokeH5923, and tie the kine to the cartH5699, and bringH7725 their calves home from them;

and takeH3947 the arkH727 of Jehovah, and lay it upon the cartH5699, and the golden jewels, which ye returnH7725 him as a trespass-offering, putH5414 in the coffer by the sideH6654 thereof; and sendH7971 it awayH7971 that it may goH1980.

And seeH7200, if it goH5927 up by the wayH1870 of its own borderH1366 to Beth-shemeshH1053, it is he who has done us this greatH1419 evilH7451; if not, then we shall knowH3045 that it is not his handH3027 that touchedH5060 us; it wasH1961 a chanceH4745 [that] happened to us.

And the menH376 did soH3651, and tookH3947 twoH8147 milch kine, and tied them to the cartH5699, and shutH3607 up their calves at home.

And they laid the arkH727 of Jehovah upon the cartH5699, and the coffer with the golden miceH5909 and the imagesH6754 of their sores.

And the kine wentH1980 straightH3474 forward on the wayH1870 to Beth-shemeshH1053; they wentH1980 by the oneH259 high wayH1870, lowing as they wentH1980; and they turnedH5493 not asideH5493 to the rightH3225 handH3225 or to the left; and the lords of the PhilistinesH6430 wentH1980 after them as far as the borderH1366 of Beth-shemeshH1053.

And [they of] Beth-shemeshH1053 were reaping the wheat-harvest in the valleyH6010; and they liftedH5375 up their eyesH5869 and sawH7200 the arkH727, and rejoicedH8055 to seeH7200 it.

And the cartH5699 cameH935 into the fieldH7704 of JoshuaH3091 the Beth-shemeshite, and stoodH5975 there; and a greatH1419 stoneH68 was there. And they clave the woodH6086 of the cartH5699, and offeredH5927 up the kine as a burnt-offering to Jehovah.

And the LevitesH3881 took down the arkH727 of Jehovah, and the coffer that was with it, in which were the golden jewels, and putH7760 them on the greatH1419 stoneH68; and the menH376 of Beth-shemeshH1053 offeredH5927 up burnt-offerings and sacrificedH2076 sacrificesH2077 the same dayH3117 to Jehovah.

And the fiveH2568 lords of the PhilistinesH6430 sawH7200 [it], and returnedH7725 to EkronH6138 the same dayH3117.

And these are the golden sores which the PhilistinesH6430 returnedH7725 as a trespass-offering to Jehovah: for AshdodH795 oneH259, for Gazah oneH259, for AshkelonH831 oneH259, for GathH1661 oneH259, for EkronH6138 oneH259;

and the golden miceH5909, [according to] the numberH4557 of all the citiesH5892 of the PhilistinesH6430 belonging to the fiveH2568 lords, both fortified citiesH5892 and villages of the peasantry; [and they brought them] as far as the greatH1419 [stone of] AbelH59, whereon they set down the arkH727 of Jehovah, [which] is to this dayH3117 in the fieldH7704 of JoshuaH3091 the Beth-shemeshite.
