12They repay meיְשַׁלְּמ֣וּנִיye.sha.le.Mu.niH7999evilרָ֭עָהRa.'ahH7451forתַּ֥חַתTa.chatH8478goodטוֹבָ֗הto.VahH2896, tothe bereavementשְׁכ֣וֹלshe.KholH7908of my soulלְנַפְשִֽׁי׃le.naf.ShiH5315.

13Yetוַאֲנִ֤י׀va.'a.NiH589when they were illבַּחֲלוֹתָ֡םba.cha.lo.TamH2470,I put onלְב֬וּשִׁיle.Vu.shiH3830sackclothשָׂ֗קSakH8242;I humbledעִנֵּ֣יתִי'i.Nei.tiH6031myselfנַפְשִׁ֑יnaf.ShiH5315with fastingבַצּ֣וֹםva.TzomH6685,but my prayersוּ֝תְפִלָּתִ֗יu.te.fi.la.TiH8605returnedתָשֽׁוּב׃ta.ShuvH7725unansweredעַל־ חֵיקִ֥י'al- chei.KiH5921 H2436.

14I paced aboutהִתְהַלָּ֑כְתִּיhit.ha.La.khe.tiH1980as for my friendכְּרֵֽעַ־ke.re.a'-H7453or brotherכְּאָ֣חke.'AchH251;I was bowed downשַׁחֽוֹתִי׃sha.Cho.tiH7817with griefקֹדֵ֥רko.DerH6937,like one mourningכַּאֲבֶל־ka.'a.vel-H57for hismotherאֵ֝֗ם'EmH517.

15But when I stumbledוּבְצַלְעִי֮u.ve.tzal.'IH6761,they assembledוְֽנֶאֱ֫סָ֥פוּve.ne.'E.Sa.fuH622in gleeשָׂמְח֪וּsa.me.ChuH8055;they gathered togetherנֶאֶסְפ֬וּne.'es.FuH622against meעָלַ֣י'a.LaiH5921.Assailantsנֵ֭כִיםNe.khimH5222I did notוְלֹ֣אve.Lo'H3808knowיָדַ֑עְתִּיya.Da'.tiH3045slandered meקָֽרְע֥וּka.re.'UH7167withoutוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808ceasingדָֽמּוּ׃Da.muH1826.

16Like godlessבְּ֭חַנְפֵיBe.chan.feiH2611jestersלַעֲגֵ֣יla.'a.GeiH3934at a feastמָע֑וֹגma.'ogH4580,they gnashedחָרֹ֖קcha.RokH2786their teethשִׁנֵּֽימוֹ׃shi.Nei.movH8127at meעָלַ֣י'a.LaiH5921.

17How longכַּמָּ֪הka.MahH4100,O Lordאֲדֹנָי֮'a.do.NaiH136,will You look onתִּ֫רְאֶ֥הtir.'EhH7200?Rescueהָשִׁ֣יבָהha.Shi.vahH7725my soulנַ֭פְשִׁיNaf.shiH5315from their ravagesמִשֹּׁאֵיהֶ֑םmi.sho.'ei.HemH7722,my precious lifeיְחִידָתִֽי׃ye.chi.da.TiH3173from these lionsמִ֝כְּפִירִ֗יםmi.ke.fi.RimH3715.

18Then I will give You thanksא֭וֹדְךָ'od.khaH3034in the greatרָ֑בRavH7227assemblyבְּקָהָ֣לbe.ka.HalH6951;I will praise Youאֲהַֽלְלֶֽךָּ׃'a.Ha.Le.kaH1984among manyעָצ֣וּם'a.TzumH6099peopleבְּעַ֖םbe.'AmH5971.

19Let notאַֽל־'al-H408my enemiesאֹיְבַ֣י'o.ye.VaiH341gloatיִשְׂמְחוּ־yis.me.chu-H8055over mewithout causeשֶׁ֑קֶרShe.kerH8267, northose who hate meשֹׂנְאַ֥יso.ne.'AiH8130without reasonחִ֝נָּ֗םchi.NamH2600wink in maliceיִקְרְצוּ־ עָֽיִן׃yik.re.tzu- 'A.yinH7169 H5869.

20Forכִּ֤יkiH3588they do notלֹ֥אlo'H3808speakיְדַ֫בֵּ֥רוּye.Da.Be.ruH1696peaceשָׁל֗וֹםsha.LomH7965,but they deviseיַחֲשֹׁבֽוּן׃ya.cha.sho.VunH2803deceitfulמִ֝רְמוֹתMir.motH4820schemesדִּבְרֵ֥יdiv.ReiH1697againstוְעַ֥לve.'AlH5921those who live quietlyרִגְעֵי־rig.'ei-H7282in the landאֶ֑רֶץ'E.retzH776.

21They gapeוַיַּרְחִ֥יבוּ פִּ֫יהֶ֥םvai.yar.Chi.vu pi.HemH6310 H7337at meעָלַ֗י'a.LaiH5921and sayאָ֭מְרוּ'A.me.ruH559, “Ahaהֶאָ֣ח׀he.'AchH1889,ahaהֶאָ֑חhe.'AchH1889!Our eyesעֵינֵֽינוּ׃'ei.Nei.nuH5869have seenרָאֲתָ֥הra.'a.TahH7200!”
