5Whereאַיֵּה־ הֵ֑ם'ai.yeh- HemH346 H1992are your fathers nowאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם'a.vo.tei.KhemH1?And the prophetsוְהַ֨נְּבִאִ֔יםve.Ha.ne.vi.'ImH5030,do they liveיִֽחְיֽוּ׃Yich.YuH2421foreverהַלְעוֹלָ֖םhal.'o.LamH5769?

8I looked outרָאִ֣יתִי׀ra.'I.tiH7200into the nightהַלַּ֗יְלָהha.Lay.lahH3915and sawוְהִנֵּה־ve.hi.neh-H2009a manאִישׁ֙'ishH376ridingרֹכֵב֙ro.KhevH7392onעַל־'al-H5921a redאָדֹ֔ם'a.DomH122horseס֣וּסsusH5483.Heוְה֣וּאve.Hu'H1931was standingעֹמֵ֔ד'o.MedH5975amongבֵּ֥יןbeinH996the myrtle treesהַהֲדַסִּ֖יםha.ha.da.SimH1918אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834in the hollowבַּמְּצֻלָ֑הba.me.tzu.LahH4699,and behind himוְאַחֲרָיו֙ve.'a.cha.RavH310were redאֲדֻמִּ֔ים'a.du.MimH122,sorrelשְׂרֻקִּ֖יםse.ru.KimH8320,and whiteוּלְבָנִֽים׃u.le.va.NimH3836horsesסוּסִ֣יםsu.SimH5483.

9“Whatמָה־mah-H4100are theseאֵ֣לֶּה'E.lehH428,my lordאֲדֹנִ֑י'a.do.NiH113?”I askedוָאֹמַ֖רva.'o.MarH559.And the angelהַמַּלְאָךְ֙ha.mal.'oKhH4397who was speakingהַדֹּבֵ֣רha.do.VerH1696with merepliedוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗יvai.Yo.mer 'e.LaiH559 H413, “Iאֲנִ֥י'a.NiH589will showאַרְאֶ֖ךָּ'ar.'E.kaH7200you whatמָה־mah-H4100they areהֵ֥מָּה אֵֽלֶּה׃He.mah 'E.lehH1992 H428.”

10Then the manהָאִ֛ישׁha.'IshH376standingהָעֹמֵ֥דha.'o.MedH5975amongבֵּין־bein-H996the myrtle treesהַהַדַסִּ֖ים וַיֹּאמַ֑רha.ha.da.Sim vai.yo.MarH1918 H559explainedוַיַּ֗עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030, “Theyאֵ֚לֶּה'E.lehH428are the onesאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068has sentשָׁלַ֣חsha.LachH7971to patrolלְהִתְהַלֵּ֖ךְle.hit.ha.LekhH1980the earthבָּאָֽרֶץ׃ba.'A.retzH776.”

11And the riders answeredוַֽיַּעֲנ֞וּvai.ya.'a.NuH6030אֶת־'et-H853the angelמַלְאַ֣ךְmal.'AkhH4397of the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068who was standingהָֽעֹמֵד֙ha.'o.MedH5975amongבֵּ֣יןbeinH996the myrtle treesהַהֲדַסִּ֔ים וַיֹּאמְר֖וּha.ha.da.Sim vai.yo.me.RuH1918 H559, “We have patrolledהִתְהַלַּ֣כְנוּhit.ha.Lakh.nuH1980the earthבָאָ֑רֶץva.'A.retzH776,and beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009,allכָל־khol-H3605the earthהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776is at restיֹשֶׁ֥בֶתyo.She.vetH3427and tranquilוְשֹׁקָֽטֶת׃ve.sho.Ka.tetH8252.”

12Then the angelמַלְאַךְ־mal.'akh-H4397of the LORDיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068saidוַיַּ֣עַן וַיֹּאמַר֒vai.Ya.'an vai.yo.MarH559 H6030, “How longעַד־ מָתַ֗י'ad- ma.TaiH5704 H4970,O LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,will Youאַתָּה֙'a.TahH859withhold mercyלֹֽא־ תְרַחֵ֣םlo'- te.ra.ChemH3808 H7355אֶת־'et-H853from Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֔םye.ru.sha.LimH3389וְאֵ֖תve.'EtH853and the citiesעָרֵ֣י'a.ReiH5892of Judahיְהוּדָ֑הye.hu.DahH3063,with whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834You have been angryזָעַ֔מְתָּהza.'Am.tahH2194theseזֶ֖הzehH2088seventyשִׁבְעִ֥יםshiv.'ImH7657yearsשָׁנָֽה׃sha.NahH8141?”

13So the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068אֶת־'et-H853spokeוַיַּ֣עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030kindטוֹבִ֑יםto.VimH2896דְּבָרִ֣יםde.va.RimH1697and comfortingנִחֻמִֽים׃ni.chu.MimH5150wordsדְּבָרִ֖יםde.va.RimH1697to the angelהַמַּלְאָ֛ךְha.mal.'AkhH4397who was speakingהַדֹּבֵ֥רha.do.VerH1696with me.

14Then the angelהַמַּלְאָךְ֙ha.mal.'oKhH4397who was speakingהַדֹּבֵ֣רha.do.VerH1696with mesaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗יvai.Yo.mer 'e.LaiH559 H413, “Proclaimקְרָ֣אke.Ra'H7121this wordלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559:This is whatכֹּ֥הkohH3541the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֑וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559: ‘I am veryגְדוֹלָֽה׃ge.do.LahH1419jealousקִנֵּ֧אתִי קִנְאָ֥הki.Ne.ti kin.'AhH7065 H7068for Jerusalemלִירוּשָׁלִַ֛םli.ru.sha.LimH3389and Zionוּלְצִיּ֖וֹןu.le.tzi.YonH6726,

15but Iאֲנִ֣י'a.NiH589am fiercely angryוְקֶ֤צֶף גָּדוֹל֙ קֹצֵ֔ףve.Ke.tzef ga.dOl ko.TzefH7110 H1419 H7107withעַל־'al-H5921the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֖םha.go.YimH1471that are at easeהַשַּֽׁאֲנַנִּ֑יםha.sha.'a.na.NimH7600.Forאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834Iאֲנִי֙'a.NiH589was a littleמְּעָ֔טme.'AtH4592angryקָצַ֣פְתִּיka.Tzaf.tiH7107,but theyוְהֵ֖מָּהve.He.mahH1992have added toעָזְר֥וּ'a.ze.RuH5826the calamityלְרָעָֽה׃le.ra.'AhH7451.’

16Thereforeלָכֵ֞ןla.KhenH3651this is whatכֹּֽה־koh-H3541the LORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068saysאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559: ‘I will returnשַׁ֤בְתִּיShav.tiH7725to Jerusalemלִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙li.ru.sha.LimH3389with mercyבְּֽרַחֲמִ֔יםbe.ra.cha.MimH7356, and thereMy houseבֵּיתִי֙bei.TiH1004will be rebuiltיִבָּ֣נֶהyi.Ba.nehH1129,declaresנְאֻ֖םne.'UmH5002the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֑וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,and a measuring lineH6961will be stretched outיִנָּטֶ֖הyi.na.TehH5186overעַל־'al-H5921Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.ru.sha.LimH3389.’

17Proclaimקְרָ֣אke.Ra'H7121furtherע֣וֹד׀odH5750thatthis is whatלֵאמֹ֗ר כֹּ֤הle.Mor kohH3541 H559the LORDיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of Hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635saysאָמַר֙'a.MarH559: ‘My citiesעָרַ֖י'a.RaiH5892will againע֛וֹדodH5750overflowתְּפוּצֶ֥ינָהte.fu.Tzei.nahH6327with prosperityמִטּ֑וֹבmi.TovH2896;the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068will againעוֹד֙'OdH5750אֶת־'et-H853comfortוְנִחַ֨םve.ni.ChamH5162Zionצִיּ֔וֹןtzi.YonH6726andע֖וֹדodH5750chooseוּבָחַ֥רu.va.CharH977Jerusalemבִּירוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ סbi.ru.sha.LimH3389.’”

19So I askedוָאֹמַ֗רva.'o.MarH559אֶל־'el-H413the angelהַמַּלְאָ֛ךְha.mal.'AkhH4397who was speakingהַדֹּבֵ֥רha.do.VerH1696with me, “Whatמָה־mah-H4100are theseאֵ֑לֶּה'E.lehH428?”And he toldוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559meאֵלַ֔י'e.LaiH413, “Theseאֵ֤לֶּה'E.lehH428are the hornsהַקְּרָנוֹת֙ha.ke.ra.nOtH7161thatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834have scatteredזֵר֣וּze.RuH2219אֶת־'et-H853Judahיְהוּדָ֔הye.hu.DahH3063אֶת־'et-H853,Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and Jerusalemוִירוּשָׁלָֽם׃ סvi.ru.sha.LamH3389.”

20Then the LORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068showed meוַיַּרְאֵ֣נִיvai.yar.'E.niH7200fourאַרְבָּעָ֖ה'ar.ba.'AhH702craftsmenחָרָשִֽׁים׃cha.ra.ShimH2796.

21“Whatמָ֛הmahH4100are theseאֵ֥לֶּה'E.lehH428comingבָאִ֖יםva.'ImH935to doלַֽעֲשׂ֑וֹתla.'a.SotH6213?”I askedH559.And He repliedH559, “Theseאֵ֣לֶּה'E.lehH428are the hornsהַקְּרָנ֞וֹתha.ke.ra.NotH7161thatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834scatteredזֵ֣רוּZe.ruH2219אֶת־'et-H853Judahיְהוּדָ֗הye.hu.DahH3063so thatכְּפִי־ke.fi-H6310noלֹא־lo'-H3808oneאִישׁ֙'ishH376could raiseנָשָׂ֣אna.Sa'H5375his headרֹאשׁ֔וֹro.ShoH7218;but theאֵ֙לֶּה֙'e.lehH428craftsmenhave comeוַיָּבֹ֤אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to terrifyלְהַחֲרִ֣ידle.ha.cha.RidH2729themאֹתָ֔ם'o.TamH853andthrow downלְיַדּ֞וֹתle.ya.DotH3034אֶת־'et-H853these hornsקַרְנ֣וֹתkar.NotH7161of the nationsהַגּוֹיִ֗םha.go.YimH1471that have lifted upהַנֹּשְׂאִ֥יםha.no.se.'ImH5375their hornsקֶ֛רֶןKe.renH7161againstאֶל־'el-H413the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063to scatter itלְזָרוֹתָֽהּ׃ סle.za.ro.TahH2219.”
