Mark 9:1-13
1And Jesus was sayingG3004 to them, “1TrulyG281 I sayG3004 to you, there are someG5100 of thoseG3588 who are standingG2476 hereG5602 whoG3748 will not tasteG1089 deathG2288 untilG2193 they seeG3708 the kingdomG932 of GodG2316 when it has comeG2064 with powerG1411.”
22And sixG1803 daysG2250 laterG3326 JesusG2424 tookG3880 with Him 3PeterG4074, 4JamesG2385, and JohnG2491, and broughtG399 them upG399 on a highG5308 mountainG3735 by themselvesG2398G3441. And He was 5transfiguredG3339 beforeG1715 them; 3and 6His garmentsG2440 becameG1096 radiantG4744 and exceedinglyG3029 whiteG3022, as noG3756 laundererG1102 on earthG1093 canG1410 whitenG3021 them. 4And ElijahG2243 appearedG3708 to them alongG4862 with MosesG3475; and they were talkingG4814 with JesusG2424. 5PeterG4074 respondedG611 and saidG3004 to JesusG2424, “7RabbiG4461, it is goodG2570 that we are hereG5602; 8let’s makeG4160 threeG5140 9tabernaclesG4633, oneG1520 for You, oneG1520 for MosesG3475, and oneG1520 for ElijahG2243.” 6For he did not knowG3609 howG5101 to replyG611; for they becameG1096 terrifiedG1630. 7ThenG2532 a cloudG3507 10formedG1096, overshadowingG1982 them, and 11a voiceG5456 12cameG1096 out of the cloudG3507: “13ThisG3778 is My belovedG27 SonG5207; 14listenG191 to Him!” 8And suddenlyG1819 they lookedG4017 aroundG4017 and sawG3708 noG3762 oneG3762 with them anymoreG3765, exceptG1508 JesusG2424 aloneG3441.
915As they were comingG2597 downG2597 from the mountainG3735, He 16gaveG1291 them ordersG1291 not to relateG1334 to anyoneG3367 whatG3739 they had seenG3708, 17untilG1487G3361G3752 the SonG5207 of ManG444 roseG450 from the deadG3498. 10They 18seizedG2902 upon 19that statementG3056, discussingG4802 with oneG1438 anotherG1438 20whatG5101 risingG450 from the deadG3498 meantG1510. 11And they askedG1905 Him, sayingG3004, “Why is it that the scribesG1122 sayG3004 that 21ElijahG2243 mustG1163 comeG2064 firstG4413?” 12And He saidG5346 to them, “ElijahG2243 does comeG2064 firstG4413 and he restoresG600 allG3956 thingsG3956. And yet howG4459 is it writtenG1125 of 22the SonG5207 of ManG444 that 23He will sufferG3958 manyG4183 thingsG4183 and be treatedG1847 withG1847 contemptG1847? 13But I sayG3004 to you that ElijahG2243 has 24indeedG2532 comeG2064, and they didG4160 to him whateverG3745 they wantedG2309, justG2531 asG2531 it is writtenG1125 of him.”
