2AndmanyπολλοὶpolloiG4183were gatheredG4863togetherσυνήχθησανsunēchthēsanG4863,soὥστεhōsteG5620thatG5620there wasG5562noμηκέτιmēketiG3371longerG3371spaceχωρεῖνchōreinG5562,not evenμηδὲmēdeG3366nearπρὸςprosG4314the doorθύραν,thuranG2374;and He was speakingἐλάλειelaleiG2980the wordλόγον.¶logonG3056to them.

3And some peoplecameἔρχονταιerchontaiG2064,bringingφέροντεςpherontesG5342to Him a manG3885who wasparalyzedG3885,carriedαἰρόμενονairomenonG142by fourτεσσάρων.tessarōnG5064men.

4And when they were unableμὴ δυνάμενοιmē dunamenoiG3361 G1410togetπροσενέγκαιprosenegkaiG4374to Him becauseδιὰdiaG1223of the crowdὄχλονochlonG3793, theyremovedἀπεστέγασανapestegasanG648the roofστέγηνstegēnG4721aboveὅπουhopouG3699Him; and after diggingG1846anG1846openingG1846,they letG5465downG5465the palletκράβαττονkrabattonG2895on whichὅπουhopouG3699theparalyzedG3885manG3885was lyingκατέκειτο.katekeitoG2621.

5And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,seeingG3708their faithπίστινpistinG4102,saidλέγειlegeiG3004to the paralyzedG3885manG3885,“Sonτέκνον,teknonG5043,your sinsἁμαρτίαιhamartiaiG266are forgivenἀφίενταίaphientaiG863.”

6But someτινεςtinesG5100of the scribesγραμματέωνgrammateōnG1122were sittingκαθήμενοιkathēmenoiG2521thereἐκεῖekeiG1563and thinkingG1260itoverG1260in their heartsκαρδίαιςkardiaisG2588,

7“WhyτίtiG5101does thisG3778manοὗτοςhoutosG3778speakλαλεῖ;laleiG2980that wayοὕτωςhoutōsG3779?He is blasphemingβλασφημεῖ·blasphēmeiG987!WhoτίςtisG5101canδύναταιdunataiG1410forgiveἀφιέναιaphienaiG863sinsἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266exceptG1508Godθεός;theosG2316aloneεἷςheisG1520?”

8ImmediatelyG2117JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424,awareἐπιγνοὺςepignousG1921in His spiritπνεύματιpneumatiG4151that they were thinkingG1260thatG3779wayG3779withinG1722themselvesἑαυτοῖςhe'autoisG1438,saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them,“WhyτίtiG5101are you thinkingG1260aboutG1260theseG3778thingsταῦταtautaG3778in your heartsκαρδίαιςkardiaisG2588?

9WhichτίtiG5101is easierεὐκοπώτερον,eukopōteronG2123,to sayG3004to theparalyzedG3885manG3885, ‘Your sinsἁμαρτίαι,hamartiaiG266are forgivenἀφίενταίaphientaiG863’;orἢēG2228to sayG3004, ‘GetG1453upG1453,and pickG142upG142your palletκράβαττόνkrabattonG2895and walkπεριπάτει;¶peripateiG4043’?

10But soG2443thatG2443you may knowG3609that the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444hasἔχειecheiG2192authorityἐξουσίανexousianG1849on earthγῆς,gēsG1093to forgiveἀφιέναιaphienaiG863sinsἁμαρτίαςhamartiasG266”--He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to the paralyzedG3885manG3885,

11“I sayλέγω·legōG3004to you, getG1453upG1453,pickG142upG142your palletκράβαττόνkrabattonG2895,and goὕπαγεhupageG5217homeοἶκόνoikonG3624.”

12And he gotG1453upG1453and immediatelyG2117pickedG142upG142the palletκράβαττονkrabattonG2895and wentG1831outG1831in the sightG1715of everyoneπάντωνpantōnG3956,soὥστεhōsteG5620thatG5620they were allπάνταςpantasG3956amazedἐξίστασθαιexistasthaiG1839andwere glorifyingδοξάζεινdoxazeinG1392GodθεὸνtheonG2316,sayingλέγονταςlegontasG3004, “We have neverοὐδέποτεoudepoteG3763seenG3708anythinglikeG3779thisG3779!”
