3Zaccheuswas tryingἐζήτειezēteiG2212to seeG3708whoτίςtisG5101JesusἸησοῦνIēsounG2424was, and he was unableοὐκ ἠδύνατοouk ēdunatoG3756 G1410dueἀπὸapoG575to the crowdὄχλου,ochlouG3793,becauseὅτιhotiG3754he was shortμικρὸςmikrosG3398in statureἡλικίᾳhēlikiaG2244.

6And he hurriedσπεύσαςspeusasG4692and cameG2597downκατέβηkatebēG2597,and receivedὑπεδέξατοhupedexatoG5264Himjoyfullyχαίρων.chairōnG5463.

7When the peoplesawG3708this,they allπάντεςpantesG3956beganto complainδιεγόγγυζονdiegonguzonG1234,sayingλέγοντεςlegontesG3004, “He has goneG1525inG1525to be the guestκαταλῦσαι.¶katalusaiG2647of a manἀνδρὶandriG435who is a sinnerἁμαρτωλῷhamartōlōG268!”

8But ZaccheusΖακχαῖοςZakchaiosG2195stoppedΣταθεὶςStatheisG2476and saidG3004tothe Lordκύριον·kurionG2962, “BeholdἰδοὺidouG2400,Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,halfἡμίσιάhēmisiaG2255of my possessionsὑπαρχόντων,huparchontōnG5225I am givingδίδωμι·didōmiG1325to the poorπτωχοῖςptōchoisG4434,and ifεἴeiG1487I haveextortedἐσυκοφάντησα,esukophantēsaG4811anythingτινόςtinosG5100from anyoneτιtiG5100,I am givingG591backG591fourG5073timesG5073asG5073muchG5073.”

9And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424saidG3004to him,“TodayσήμερονsēmeronG4594salvationσωτηρίαsōtēriaG4991has comeἐγένετο,egenetoG1096to thisτούτῳtoutōG3778houseοἴκῳoikōG3624,becauseκαθότιkathotiG2530he, tooκαὶkaiG2532, isa sonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of AbrahamἈβραάμAbraamG11.

10For the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444has comeἦλθενēlthenG2064to seekζητῆσαιzētēsaiG2212and to saveσῶσαιsōsaiG4982that which was lostἀπολωλός.¶apolōlosG622.”
