7They were amazedἐξίσταντοexistantoG1839and astonishedἐθαύμαζονethaumazonG2296,sayingλέγοντεςlegontesG3004, “WhyἰδοὺidouG2400,are not allG3956theseοὗτοίhoutoiG3778who are speakingλαλοῦντεςlalountesG2980GalileansΓαλιλαῖοι;GalilaioiG1057?

8And howπῶςpōsG4459is it thatwe eachἕκαστοςhekastosG1538hearἀκούομενakouomenG191themin our ownἰδίᾳidiaG2398languageδιαλέκτῳdialektōG1258to whichᾗhēG3739we were bornἐγεννήθημεν,egennēthēmenG1080?

12Andthey allπάντεςpantesG3956continued in amazementἐξίσταντοexistantoG1839and greatG1280perplexityG1280,sayingλέγοντες·legontesG3004to oneἄλλοςallosG243anotherἄλλονallonG243, “WhatτίtiG5101does thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778meanθέλειtheleiG2309 G1510?”

13But othersἕτεροιheteroiG2087were jeeringG1315and sayingἔλεγονelegonG3004, “They are fullμεμεστωμένοιmemestōmenoiG3325ofsweetG1098wineG1098!”

14But PeterΠέτροςPetrosG4074,takingG2476his standG2476with the otherelevenἕνδεκαhendekaG1733,raisedἐπῆρενepērenG1869his voiceφωνὴνphōnēnG5456and declaredἀπεφθέγξατοapephthegxatoG669to them: “MenἄνδρεςandresG435of JudeaG2449and allπάντες,pantesG3956you who liveκατοικοῦντεςkatoikountesG2730in JerusalemἸερουσαλὴμIerousalēmG2419,knowγνωστὸνgnōstonG1110thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778,and payG1801attentionG1801toG1801my wordsῥήματάrhēmataG4487.

15For theseG3778peopleG3778areG3184not drunkG3184,as you assumeὑπολαμβάνετεhupolambaneteG5274,sinceG1063it is only thethirdτρίτηtritēG5154hourὥραhōraG5610of the dayἡμέρας,hēmerasG2250;

16but thisτοῦτόtoutoG3778is what has been spokenG3004throughδιὰdiaG1223the prophetπροφήτουprophētouG4396JoelἸωήλ·IōēlG2493:
