Revelation 9
Darby Bible
1And the fifthG3991 angelG32 soundedG4537 [his] trumpetG4537: and I sawG3708 a starG792 out of the heavenG3772 fallenG4098 to the earthG1093; and there was givenG1325 to it the keyG2807 of the pitG5421 of the abyssG12. 2And it openedG455 the pitG5421 of the abyssG12; and there wentG305 up smokeG2586 out of the pitG5421 as [the] smokeG2586 of a greatG3173 furnaceG2575; and the sunG2246 and the airG109 were darkenedG4656 with the smokeG2586 of the pitG5421. 3And out of the smokeG2586 cameG1831 forthG1831 locustsG200 on the earthG1093, and powerG1849 was givenG1325 to them as the scorpionsG4651 of the earthG1093 have powerG1849; 4and it was said to them, that they should not injureG91 the grassG5528 of the earthG1093, nor any greenG5515 thing, nor any treeG1186, but the menG444 who have not the sealG4973 of 1GodG2316 on their foreheadsG3359: 5and it was givenG1325 to them that they should not killG615 them, but that they should be tormentedG928 fiveG4002 monthsG3376; and their tormentG929 [was] as [the] tormentG929 of a scorpionG4651 whenG3752 it strikes a manG444. 6And in those daysG2250 shall menG444 seekG2212 deathG2288, and shall in no way findG2147 it; and shall desireG1937 to dieG599, and deathG2288 fleesG5343 from them. 7And the likenesses of the locustsG200 [were] likeG5613 to horsesG2462 preparedG2090 for warG4171; and upon their headsG2776 as crownsG4735 like goldG5557, and their facesG4383 as facesG4383 of menG444; 8and they had hairG2359 as women's hairG2359, and their teethG3599 wereG1510 as of lionsG3023, 9and they had breastplatesG2382 as breastplatesG2382 of ironG4603, and the soundG5456 of their wingsG4420 [was] as the soundG5456 of chariotsG716 of manyG4183 horsesG2462 runningG5143 to warG4171; 10and they have tailsG3769 like scorpionsG4651, and stingsG2759; and their powerG1849 [was] in their tailsG3769 to hurt menG444 fiveG4002 monthsG3376. 11They have a kingG935 over them, the angelG32 of the abyssG12: his nameG3686 in HebrewG1447, Abaddon, and in Greek he has [for] nameG3686 Apollyon. 12The firstG1520 woeG3759 has passed. BeholdG2400, there comeG2064 yetG2089 twoG1417 woesG3759 after these thingsG3778. 13And the sixthG1623 angelG32 soundedG4537 [his] trumpetG4537: and I heardG191 a voiceG5456 from the fourG5064 hornsG2768 of the goldenG5552 altarG2379 which [is] before 2GodG2316, 14sayingG3004 to the sixthG1623 angelG32 that had the trumpetG4536, LooseG3089 the fourG5064 angelsG32 which are boundG1210 at the greatG3173 riverG4215 EuphratesG2166. 15And the fourG5064 angelsG32 were loosedG3089, who are preparedG2090 for the hourG5610 and dayG2250 and monthG3376 and yearG1763, that they might slay the thirdG5154 part of menG444; 16and the numberG706 of the hosts of horse [was] twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heardG191 their numberG706. 17And thusG3779 I sawG3708 the horsesG2462 in the vision, and those that satG2521 upon them, having breastplatesG2382 of fireG4442 and jacinth and brimstoneG2303; and the headsG2776 of the horsesG2462 [were] as headsG2776 of lionsG3023, and out of their mouthsG4750 goes out fireG4442 and smokeG2586 and brimstoneG2303. 18By these threeG5140 plaguesG4127 were the thirdG5154 part of menG444 killedG615, by the fireG4442 and the smokeG2586 and the brimstoneG2303 which goes out of their mouthsG4750. 19For the powerG1849 of the horsesG2462 isG1510 in their mouthG4750 and in their tailsG3769: for their tailsG3769 [areG1510] like serpentsG3789, having headsG2776, and with them they injureG91. 20And the restG3062 of menG444 who were not killedG615 with these plaguesG4127 repentedG3340 not of the worksG2041 of their handsG5495, that they should not worshipG4352 demonsG1140, and the goldenG5552 and silverG693 and brazen and stoneG3035 and wooden idolsG1497, which can neither seeG991 nor hearG191 nor walkG4043. 21And they repentedG3340 not of their murdersG5408, nor of their witchcrafts, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
