Darby Bible
Matthew 18:1-14
In that hourG5610 the disciplesG3101 cameG4334 to JesusG2424 sayingG3004, Who thenG686 isG1510 greatestG3173 in the kingdomG932 of the heavensG3772?
And Jesus having calledG4341 a little childG3813 to [him], setG2476 it in their midstG3319,
and saidG3004, Verily I sayG3004 to you, Unless ye are converted and becomeG1096 as little childrenG3813, ye will not at all enterG1525 into the kingdomG932 of the heavensG3772.
Whoever thereforeG3767 shall humbleG5013 himself as this little childG3813, he isG1510 the greatestG3173 in the kingdomG932 of the heavensG3772;
and whosoever shall receiveG1209 oneG1520 suchG5108 little childG3813 in my nameG3686, receivesG1209 me.
But whosoever shall offendG4624 oneG1520 of these littleG3398 onesG3398 who believeG4100 in me, it were profitableG4851 for him that a great millstoneG3458 had been hangedG2910 upon his neckG5137 and he be sunk in the depths of the seaG2281.
WoeG3759 to the worldG2889 because of offences! For it must needs beG1510 that offences comeG2064; yetG4133 woeG3759 to that manG444 by whom the offence comesG2064!
And if thy handG5495 or thy footG4228 offendG4624 thee, cutG1581 it off and castG906 [it] from thee; it isG1510 goodG2570 for thee to enterG1525 into lifeG2222 lameG5560 or maimed, [rather] than having twoG1417 handsG5495 or twoG1417 feetG4228 to beG1510 castG906 into eternalG166 fireG4442.
And if thine eyeG3788 offendG4624 thee, pluck it out and castG906 [it] from thee; it isG1510 goodG2570 for thee to enterG1525 into lifeG2222 one-eyed, [rather] than having twoG1417 eyesG3788 to beG1510 castG906 into the hellG1067 of fireG4442.
SeeG3708 that ye do not despiseG2706 oneG1520 of these littleG3398 onesG3398; for I sayG3004 unto you that their angelsG32 in [the] heavensG3772 continually behold the faceG4383 of my FatherG3962 who is in [the] heavensG3772.
For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost.
What thinkG1380 ye? If a certainG5100 manG444 should have a hundredG1540 sheepG4263, and oneG1520 of them be goneG4198 astrayG4105, does he not, leavingG863 the ninety and nineG1767 on the mountainsG3735, goG4198 and seekG2212 the oneG1520 that has goneG4198 astrayG4105?
And if it should comeG1096 to passG1096 that he findG2147 it, verily I sayG3004 unto you, he rejoicesG5463 moreG3123 because of it than because of the ninety and nineG1767 not gone astrayG4105.
So it isG1510 not the will of your FatherG3962 who isG1510 in [the] heavensG3772 that oneG1520 of these littleG3398 onesG3398 should perishG622.
