Leviticus 22
1And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 2SpeakH1696 unto AaronH175, and to his sonsH1121, that they separate themselves from the holyH6944 thingsH6944 of the children of IsraelH3478, and that they profaneH2490 not my holyH6944 nameH8034 in the thingsH6944 that they hallow unto me: I am Jehovah. 3SayH559 unto them, Every oneH376 of all your seedH2233, throughout your generationsH1755, that approacheth the holyH6944 thingsH6944, which the children of IsraelH3478 hallow unto Jehovah, having his uncleannessH2932 upon him, that soulH5315 shall be cutH3772 off from before me: I am Jehovah. 4Whatsoever manH376 of the seedH2233 of AaronH175 is a leper, or hath a flux, he shall not eatH398 of the holyH6944 thingsH6944, until he is cleanH2891. And he that toucheth any oneH376 that is uncleanH2931 by a dead personH5315, or a manH376 whose seedH2233 of copulation hath passed from him; 5or a manH376 that toucheth any crawling thingH8318 whereby he becometh uncleanH2930, or a manH376 by whom he may becomeH2930 uncleanH2930, whatever may be his uncleannessH2932, 6— a personH5315 that toucheth any such shall be uncleanH2930 until even, and shall not eatH398 of the holyH6944 thingsH6944; but he shall batheH7364 his fleshH1320 with waterH4325, 7and when the sunH8121 goeth down, he shall be cleanH2891, and may afterwards eatH398 of the holyH6944 thingsH6944; for it is his foodH3899. 8Of a dead carcase and what is tornH2966 shall he not eatH398, to makeH2930 himself uncleanH2930 therewith: I am Jehovah. 9And they shall keepH8104 my chargeH4931, lest they bearH5375 sinH2399 for it, and dieH4191 by it, if they profaneH2490 it: I am Jehovah who do hallow them. 10And no stranger shall eatH398 the holyH6944 thingH6944; the sojourner with the priestH3548, and the hired servant, shall not eatH398 of the holyH6944 thingH6944. 11But if a priestH3548 buyH7069 any one for moneyH3701, he may eatH398 of it, and he that is born in his houseH1004: they may eatH398 of his foodH3899. 12And a priest's daughterH1323 who is [married] to a stranger may not eatH398 of the heave-offering of the holyH6944 thingsH6944. 13But a priest's daughterH1323 that becometh a widowH490, or is divorced, and hath no seedH2233, and returneth unto her father's houseH1004, as in her youthH5271, she may eatH398 of her father's foodH3899; but no stranger shall eatH398 thereof. 14And if a manH376 eatH398 of a holyH6944 thingH6944 through inadvertence, then he shall putH5414 the fifthH2549 part thereof unto it, and shall giveH5414 it unto the priestH3548 with the holyH6944 thingH6944. 15And they shall not profaneH2490 the holyH6944 thingsH6944 of the children of IsraelH3478 which they offerH7311 unto Jehovah, 16and cause them to bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of trespass when they eatH398 their holyH6944 thingsH6944; for I am Jehovah who do hallow them. 17And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 18SpeakH1696 unto AaronH175, and to his sonsH1121, and unto all the children of IsraelH3478, and sayH559 unto them, Whatever manH376 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, or of the sojournersH1616 in IsraelH3478, that presenteth his offeringH5071 for any of his vowsH5088, and for any of his voluntary offeringsH5071, which they presentH7126 to Jehovah as a burnt-offering, 19it shall be for your acceptanceH7522, without blemish, a maleH2145 of the oxenH1241, of the sheep, and of the goatsH5795. 20Nothing that hath a defect shall ye presentH7126; for it shall not beH1961 acceptable for you. 21And if any presentH7126 a sacrificeH2077 of peace-offering to Jehovah to accomplish a vowH5088, or a voluntary offeringH5071 of oxenH1241 or small cattleH1241, it shall beH1961 without blemish to beH1961 accepted: there shall beH1961 no defect therein. 22Blind, or brokenH7665, or maimed, or ulcerous, or with itch, or scabbed — ye shall not presentH7126 these to Jehovah, nor makeH5414 an offeringH801 by fireH801 of them on the altarH4196 to Jehovah. 23A bullock and a sheepH7716 that hath a member too long or too short, that mayest thou offerH6213 as a voluntary offeringH5071; but as a vowH5088 it shall not be acceptedH7521. 24That which is bruised, or crushedH3807, or broken, or cutH3772 shall ye not presentH7126 to Jehovah; neither in your landH776 shall ye do [the like]. 25Nor from the handH3027 of the stranger shall ye presentH7126 the breadH3899 of your 1GodH430, of any of these; for their corruption is in them: a defect is in them; they shall not be acceptedH7521 for you. 26And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 27An oxH7794, or a sheep, or a goatH5795, when it is broughtH3205 forthH3205, shall beH1961 sevenH7651 daysH3117 under its dam; and from the eighthH8066 dayH3117 and thenceforth it shall beH1961 acceptedH7521 for an offeringH801 by fireH801 to Jehovah. 28A cow, or sheepH7716 — it and its youngH1121 shall ye not slaughterH7819 in oneH259 dayH3117. 29And when ye sacrificeH2077 a sacrificeH2077 of thanksgivingH8426 to Jehovah, ye shall sacrificeH2077 it for your acceptanceH7522. 30On that dayH3117 shall it be eatenH398: ye shall leaveH3498 none of it until morningH1242: I am Jehovah. 31And ye shall observeH8104 my commandmentsH4687 and do them: I am Jehovah. 32And ye shall not profaneH2490 my holyH6944 nameH8034; but I will be hallowed among the children of IsraelH3478: I am Jehovah who do hallow you, 33who broughtH3318 you out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, to beH1961 your 2GodH430: I am Jehovah.
