Leviticus 16

1And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872 after the deathH4191 of the twoH8147 sonsH1121 of AaronH175, when they came near before Jehovah and diedH4191; 2and Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, SpeakH1696 unto AaronH175 thy brotherH251, that he comeH935 not at all timesH6256 into the sanctuaryH6944 inside the veil before the mercy-seat which is upon the arkH727, that he dieH4191 not; for I will appearH7200 in the cloudH6051 upon the mercy-seat. 3In this manner shall AaronH175 comeH935 into the sanctuaryH6944: with a youngH1121 bullock for a sin-offering, and a ramH352 for a burnt-offering. 4A holyH6944 linenH906 vest shall he putH3847 on, and linenH906 trousers shall beH1961 upon his fleshH1320, and he shall beH1961 girdedH2296 with a linenH906 girdle, and with the linenH906 mitre shall he beH1961 attired: these are holyH6944 garmentsH899; and he shall batheH7364 his fleshH1320 in waterH4325, and putH3847 them on. 5And of the assemblyH5712 of the children of IsraelH3478 shall he takeH3947 twoH8147 bucks of the goatsH5795 for a sin-offering, and oneH259 ramH352 for a burnt-offering. 6And AaronH175 shall presentH7126 the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and make atonementH3722 for himself, and for his houseH1004. 7And he shall takeH3947 the twoH8147 goatsH8163, and setH5975 them before Jehovah, before the entranceH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 8And AaronH175 shall cast lotsH1486 upon the twoH8147 goatsH8163: oneH259 lotH1486 for Jehovah, and the other lotH1486 for Azazel. 9And AaronH175 shall presentH7126 the goatH8163 upon which the lotH1486 fell for Jehovah, and offer it [as] a sin-offering. 10And the goatH8163 upon which the lotH1486 fell for Azazel shall be setH5975 aliveH2416 before Jehovah, to makeH5975 atonementH3722 with it, to sendH7971 it awayH7971 as Azazel into the wildernessH4057. 11And AaronH175 shall presentH7126 the bullock of the sin-offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonementH3722 for himself and for his houseH1004, and shall slaughterH7819 the bullock of the sin-offering which is for himself. 12And he shall takeH3947 the censerH4289 full of burning coalsH1513 of fireH784 from off the altarH4196 before Jehovah, and both his handsH2651 full of fragrant incenseH7004 beaten small, and bringH935 it inside the veil. 13And he shall putH5414 the incenseH7004 upon the fireH784 before Jehovah, that the cloudH6051 of the incenseH7004 may coverH3680 the mercy-seat which is upon the testimonyH5715, that he dieH4191 not. 14And he shall takeH3947 of the bloodH1818 of the bullock, and sprinkle with his fingerH676 upon the front of the mercy-seat eastward; and before the mercy-seat shall he sprinkle of the bloodH1818 sevenH7651 timesH6471 with his fingerH676. 15And he shall slaughterH7819 the goatH8163 of the sin-offering, which is for the peopleH5971, and bringH935 its bloodH1818 inside the veil, and do with its bloodH1818 as he did with the bloodH1818 of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy-seat, and before the mercy-seat; 16and he shall makeH6213 atonementH3722 for the sanctuaryH6944, [to cleanse it] from the uncleannessH2932 of the children of IsraelH3478, and from their transgressionsH6588 in all their sinsH2403; and soH3651 shall he do for the tentH168 of meetingH4150 which dwelleth among them in the midstH8432 of their uncleannessH2932. 17And there shall beH1961 no manH120 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150 when he goeth in to make atonementH3722 in the sanctuaryH6944 until he comeH935 out; and he shall make atonementH3722 for himself, and for his houseH1004, and for the whole congregation of IsraelH3478. 18And he shall goH3318 out unto the altarH4196 which is before Jehovah, and makeH5414 atonementH3722 for it; and shall takeH3947 of the bloodH1818 of the bullock, and of the goatH8163, and putH5414 it upon the hornsH7161 of the altarH4196 roundH5439 about; 19and he shall sprinkle upon it of the bloodH1818 with his fingerH676 sevenH7651 timesH6471, and cleanseH2891 it, and hallow it from the uncleannesses of the children of IsraelH3478. 20And when he hath endedH3615 making atonementH3722 for the sanctuaryH6944, and the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and the altarH4196, he shall presentH7126 the living goatH8163; 21and AaronH175 shall lay both his handsH3027 on the headH7218 of the living goatH8163, and confessH3034 over it all the iniquitiesH5771 of the children of IsraelH3478, and all their transgressionsH6588 in all their sinsH2403, and he shall putH5414 them on the headH7218 of the goatH8163, and shall sendH7971 him awayH7971 to the wildernessH4057 by the handH3027 of a manH376 standing ready; 22that the goatH8163 may bearH5375 upon him all their iniquitiesH5771 to a landH776 apart [from men]; and he shall sendH7971 awayH7971 the goatH8163 into the wildernessH4057. 23And AaronH175 shall goH935 into the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and shall putH3847 off the linenH906 garmentsH899, which he putH3847 on whenH834 he wentH935 into the sanctuaryH6944, and shall leave them there; 24and he shall batheH7364 his fleshH1320 with waterH4325 in a holyH6918 placeH4725, and putH3847 on his garmentsH899, and goH3318 forthH3318, and offerH6213 his burnt-offering, and the burnt-offering of the peopleH5971, and makeH6213 atonementH3722 for himself, and for the peopleH5971. 25And the fatH2459 of the sin-offering shall he burn upon the altarH4196. 26And he that letteth goH935 the goatH8163 for Azazel shall washH3526 his clothesH899, and batheH7364 his fleshH1320 in waterH4325; and afterwards he may comeH935 into the campH4264. 27And the bullock of the sin-offering, and the goatH8163 of the sin-offering whose bloodH1818 was broughtH935 in to make atonementH3722 in the sanctuaryH6944, shall oneH834 carry forthH3318 outside the campH4264; and they shall burnH8313 with fireH784 their skinsH5785, and their fleshH1320, and their dungH6569. 28And he that burneth them shall washH3526 his clothesH899, and batheH7364 his fleshH1320 in waterH4325; and afterwards he may comeH935 into the campH4264. 29And this shall beH1961 an everlasting statuteH2708 unto you. In the seventhH7637 monthH2320, on the tenth of the monthH2320, ye shall afflictH6031 your soulsH5315, and do no workH4399 at all, the home-born, and the stranger that sojourneth among you; 30for on that dayH3117 shall atonementH3722 be made for you, to cleanseH2891 you: from all your sinsH2403 shall ye be cleanH2891 before Jehovah. 31A sabbathH7676 of rest shall it be unto you, and ye shall afflictH6031 your soulsH5315: [it is] an everlasting statuteH2708. 32And the priestH3548 who hath been anointedH4886, and who hath been consecrated, to exercise the priesthood in his father's stead, shall make atonementH3722; and he shall putH3847 on the linenH906 garmentsH899, the holyH6944 garmentsH899. 33And he shall make atonementH3722 for the holyH6944 sanctuaryH4720; and for the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and for the altarH4196 shall he make atonementH3722; and for the priestsH3548, and for the whole peopleH5971 of the congregation shall he make atonementH3722. 34And this shall beH1961 an everlasting statuteH2708 unto you, to makeH6213 atonementH3722 for the children of IsraelH3478 [to cleanse them] from all their sinsH2403 once a yearH8141. And he did as Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872.
