Leviticus 10

1And the sonsH1121 of AaronH175, NadabH5070 and AbihuH30, tookH3947 each of them his censerH4289, and putH5414 fireH784 in it, and putH5414 incenseH7004 on it, and presentedH7126 strangeH2114 fireH784 before Jehovah, which he had not commandedH6680 them. 2And there wentH3318 out fireH784 from before Jehovah, and devouredH398 them, and they diedH4191 before Jehovah. 3And MosesH4872 saidH559 to AaronH175, This is what Jehovah spokeH1696, sayingH559, I will be hallowed in them that come near me, and before all the peopleH5971 I will be glorifiedH3513. And AaronH175 was silent. 4And MosesH4872 calledH7121 MishaelH4332 and ElzaphanH469, the sonsH1121 of UzzielH5816 the uncleH1730 of AaronH175, and saidH559 to them, Come near, carryH5375 your brethren from before the sanctuaryH6944 out of the campH4264. 5And they went near, and carriedH5375 them in their vests out of the campH4264, as MosesH4872 had saidH1696. 6And MosesH4872 saidH559 to AaronH175, and to EleazarH499 and to IthamarH385 his sonsH1121, Your headsH7218 shall ye not uncover, neither rend your clothesH899; lest ye dieH4191, and lest wrath come on all the assemblyH5712; but your brethren, the whole houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, shall bewail the burningH8316 which Jehovah hath kindled. 7And ye shall not goH3318 out from the entranceH6607 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, lestH6435 ye dieH4191; for the anointingH4888 oilH8081 of Jehovah is upon you. And they did according to the wordH1697 of MosesH4872. 8And Jehovah spokeH1696 to AaronH175, sayingH559, 9Thou shalt not drinkH8354 wineH3196 nor strongH7941 drinkH8354, thou, and thy sonsH1121 with thee, when ye goH935 into the tentH168 of meetingH4150, lest ye dieH4191 — [it is] an everlasting statuteH2708 throughout your generationsH1755, 10that ye may put difference between the holyH6944 and the unholy, and between uncleanH2931 and cleanH2889, 11and that ye may teachH3384 the children of IsraelH3478 all the statutesH2706 which Jehovah hath spokenH1696 to them by the handH3027 of MosesH4872. 12And MosesH4872 spokeH1696 to AaronH175, and to EleazarH499 and to IthamarH385, his sonsH1121 that were leftH3498, TakeH3947 the oblation that is leftH3498 of Jehovah's offeringsH801 by fireH801, and eatH398 it with unleavenedH4682 breadH4682 beside the altarH4196; for it is most holyH6944. 13And ye shall eatH398 it in a holyH6918 placeH4725, because it is thy due, and thy sons' due, of Jehovah's offeringsH801 by fireH801; for so I am commandedH6680. 14And the breastH2373 of the wave-offering, and the shoulder of the heave-offering shall ye eatH398 in a cleanH2889 placeH4725, thou, and thy sonsH1121, and thy daughtersH1323 with thee; for [as] thy due, and thy sons' due, are they givenH5414 of the sacrificesH2077 of peace-offerings of the children of IsraelH3478. 15The shoulder of the heave-offering and the breastH2373 of the wave-offering shall they bringH935, with the fire-offering of the pieces of fatH2459, to wave [them] as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and they shall beH1961 thine, and thy sons' with thee, for an everlasting statuteH2706, as Jehovah has commandedH6680. 16And MosesH4872 diligently soughtH1875 the goatH8163 of the sin-offering, and behold, it was burnt up: then he was wroth with EleazarH499 and IthamarH385, the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 that were leftH3498, sayingH559, 17WhyH4069 have ye not eatenH398 the sin-offering in a holyH6944 placeH4725? for it is most holyH6944, and he has givenH5414 it to you that ye might bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the assemblyH5712, to makeH5414 atonementH3722 for them before Jehovah. 18Lo, its bloodH1818 was not broughtH935 in within the sanctuaryH6944: ye should certainly have eatenH398 it in the sanctuaryH6944, as I commandedH6680. 19And AaronH175 saidH1696 to MosesH4872, Behold, to-day have they presentedH7126 their sin-offering and their burnt-offering before Jehovah; and such thingsH428 have befallen me; and had I to-day eatenH398 the sin-offering, would it have been goodH3190 in the sight of Jehovah? 20And MosesH4872 heardH8085 it; and it was goodH3190 in his sight.
