Acts 24:2-9
And he having been calledG2564, TertullusG5061 beganG757 to accuseG2723, sayingG3004, Seeing we enjoy greatG4183 peaceG1515 through thee, and that excellent measures are executed for this nationG1484 by thy forethought,
we receive [it] always and everywhereG3837, most excellentG2903 FelixG5344, with all thankfulness.
But that I may not too muchG4183 intrude on thy time, I beseech thee to hearG191 us briefly in thy kindness.
For findingG2147 this manG435 a pest, and moving sedition among all the JewsG2453 throughout the worldG3625, and a leader of the sectG139 of the Nazaraeans;
who alsoG2532 attempted to profane the templeG2411; whom we alsoG2532 had seizedG2902, [and would have judged according to our law;
but Lysias, the chiliarch, coming up, took [him] away with great force out of our hands,
having commanded his accusers to come to thee;] of whom thou canst thyself, in examining [him], knowG1921 the certainty of all these thingsG3778 of which we accuseG2723 him.
And the JewsG2453 alsoG2532 joined in pressing the matter against [Paul], saying that these thingsG3778 were so.
