Jeremiah 8:11-14
11And they have healedH7495 the hurt of the daughterH1323 of my peopleH5971 slightly, sayingH559, PeaceH7965, peaceH7965; when there is no peaceH7965. 12Were they ashamedH954 when they had committed abominationH8441? nay, they were not at all ashamedH954, neither could they blush: thereforeH3651 shall they fallH5307 among them that fallH5307; in the timeH6256 of their visitation they shall be castH5307 downH5307, saith Jehovah. 13I will utterly consume them, saith Jehovah: there shall be no grapes on the vineH1612, nor figsH8384 on the fig-tree, and the leafH5929 shall fade; and the things that I have givenH5414 them shall passH5674 away from them.
14WhyH4100 do we sitH3427 still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified citiesH5892, and let us be silent there; for Jehovah our GodH430 hath put us to silence, and givenH8248 us waterH4325 of gall to drinkH8248, because we have sinnedH2398 against Jehovah.
