Jeremiah 50:11-18
11Because ye are gladH8055, because ye rejoiceH8055, O ye that plunderH8154 my heritage, because ye are wanton as a heiferH5697 that treadeth out the grain, and neigh as strong horses; 12your motherH517 shall be utterly putH954 to shameH954; she that bare you shall be confounded: behold, she shall be the hindermost of the nationsH1471, a wildernessH4057, a dryH6723 land, and a desertH6160. 13Because of the wrathH7110 of Jehovah she shall not beH1961 inhabitedH3427, but she shall beH1961 wholly desolateH8074: every one that goeth by BabylonH894 shall beH1961 astonished, and hissH8319 at all her plaguesH4347. 14Set yourselves in array against BabylonH894 roundH5439 about, all ye that bendH1869 the bowH7198; shoot at her, spareH2550 no arrowsH2671: for she hath sinnedH2398 against Jehovah. 15ShoutH7321 against her roundH5439 about: she hath submitted herself; her bulwarks are fallenH5307, her wallsH2346 are thrown downH5307; for it is the vengeanceH5360 of Jehovah: take vengeanceH5360 upon her; as she hath done, do unto her. 16CutH3772 off the sowerH2232 from BabylonH894, and him that handleth the sickleH4038 in the timeH6256 of harvestH7105: for fear of the oppressingH3238 swordH2719 they shall turnH6437 every oneH376 to his peopleH5971, and they shall fleeH5127 every oneH376 to his own landH776.
17IsraelH3478 is a hunted sheepH7716; the lionsH738 have drivenH5080 him awayH5080: firstH7223, the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804 devouredH398 him; and now at lastH314 Nebuchadrezzar kingH4428 of BabylonH894 hath broken his bones. 18ThereforeH3651 thusH3541 saith Jehovah of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: Behold, I will punishH6485 the kingH4428 of BabylonH894 and his landH776, as I have punishedH6485 the kingH4428 of AssyriaH804.
