Jeremiah 44:2-6
ThusH3541 saith Jehovah of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: Ye have seenH7200 all the evilH7451 that I have broughtH935 upon JerusalemH3389, and upon all the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063; and, behold, this dayH3117 they are a desolationH2723, and no man dwelleth therein,
because of their wickednessH7451 which they have committed to provokeH3707 me to angerH3707, in that they went to burn incenseH6999, and to serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430, that they knewH3045 not, neither they, nor ye, nor your fathersH1.
Howbeit I sentH7971 unto you all my servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, risingH7925 up earlyH7925 and sendingH7971 them, sayingH559, Oh, do not this abominable thingH1697 that I hateH8130.
But they hearkened not, nor inclinedH5186 their earH241 to turnH7725 from their wickednessH7451, to burn no incenseH6999 unto otherH312 godsH430.
Wherefore my wrathH2534 and mine angerH639 wasH1961 pouredH5413 forth, and wasH1961 kindled in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389; and they are wasted and desolate, as it is this dayH3117.
