Jeremiah 44:2-6
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478: Ye have seenH7200 allH3605 the evilH7451 that I have broughtH935 uponH5921 JerusalemH3389, and uponH5921 allH3605 the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063; and, beholdH2005, this dayH3117 they are a desolationH2723, and noH369 manH3605 dwelleth therein;
becauseH834 of their wickednessH7451 whichH834 they have committedH6213 to provokeH3707 meH6440 to angerH3707, in that they wentH6440 to burnH6999 incenseH6999, and to serveH5647 otherH312 godsH430, whomH834 they knewH3045 notH3808, neitherH3808 they, norH3808 ye, norH3808 your fathersH1.
Howbeit I sentH7971 unto youH834 allH3605 my servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030, risingH7925 upH7925 earlyH7925 and sendingH7971 them, sayingH559, OhH4994, doH6213 notH408 this abominableH8441 thingH1697 that I hateH8130.
But they hearkened notH3808, norH3808 inclinedH5186 their earH241 to turnH7725 from their wickednessH7451, to burnH6999 noH3808 incenseH6999 unto otherH312 godsH430.
Wherefore my furyH2534 and mine angerH639 was pouredH5413 forth, and was kindled in the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 and in the streetsH2351 of JerusalemH3389; and they are wasted and desolateH8077, as it is this dayH3117.
