Jeremiah 3:1-5
1They sayH559, If a manH376 put awayH7971 his wifeH802, and she goH1980 from him, and becomeH1961 another man’sH376, will he returnH7725 unto her againH5750? will not that landH776 beH1961 greatly pollutedH2610? But thou hast playedH2181 the harlot with manyH7227 lovers; yetH5750 returnH7725 againH5750 to me, saith Jehovah. 2LiftH5375 up thine eyesH5869 unto the bareH8205 heightsH8205, and seeH7200; whereH375 hast thou not been lain with? By the waysH1870 hast thou satH3427 for them, as an Arabian in the wildernessH4057; and thou hast pollutedH2610 the landH776 with thy whoredoms and with thy wickednessH7451. 3Therefore the showersH7241 have beenH1961 withholden, and there hath beenH1961 no latter rainH4456; yet thou hadst a harlot’s foreheadH4696, thou refusedst to beH1961 ashamedH3637. 4Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My FatherH1, thou art the guide of my youthH5271? 5Will he retain his anger for everH5769? will he keepH8104 it to the end? Behold, thou hast spokenH1696 and hast done evilH7451 things, and hast had thy way.
