Jeremiah 13:9-17

9ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, After this manner will I mar the prideH1347 of JudahH3063, and the greatH7227 prideH1347 of JerusalemH3389. 10This evilH7451 peopleH5971, that refuse to hearH8085 my wordsH1697, that walkH1980 in the stubbornnessH8307 of their heartH3820, and are goneH1980 after otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 them, and to worship them, shall even beH1961 as this girdle, which is profitable for nothing. 11For as the girdle cleaveth to the loinsH4975 of a manH376, soH3651 have I caused to cleave unto me the whole houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 and the whole houseH1004 of JudahH3063, saith Jehovah; that they may beH1961 unto me for a peopleH5971, and for a nameH8034, and for a praiseH8416, and for a gloryH8597: but they would not hearH8085.

12Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this wordH1697: ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, the GodH430 of IsraelH3478, Every bottle shall be filledH4390 with wineH3196: and they shall sayH559 unto thee, Do we not certainly knowH3045 that every bottle shall be filledH4390 with wineH3196? 13Then shalt thou sayH559 unto them, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, Behold, I will fillH4390 all the inhabitantsH3427 of this landH776, even the kingsH4428 that sitH3427 upon David’s throneH3678, and the priestsH3548, and the prophetsH5030, and all the inhabitantsH3427 of JerusalemH3389, with drunkennessH7943. 14And I will dash them oneH376 against another, even the fathersH1 and the sonsH1121 togetherH3162, saith Jehovah: I will not pityH2347, nor spareH2550, nor have compassionH7355, that I should not destroyH7843 them.

15HearH8085 ye, and giveH238 earH238; be not proud; for Jehovah hath spokenH1696. 16GiveH5414 gloryH3519 to Jehovah your GodH430, before he cause darknessH6757, and before your feetH7272 stumble upon the darkH2821 mountainsH2022, and, while ye look for lightH216, he turn it into the shadow of death, and makeH7760 it gross darknessH6757. 17But if ye will not hearH8085 it, my soulH5315 shall weepH1058 in secretH4565 for your prideH1466; and mine eyeH5869 shall weepH1058 sore, and run down with tearsH1832, because Jehovah’s flockH5739 is takenH7617 captiveH7617.
