34[1But JesusG2424 was sayingG3004, “2FatherG3962, forgiveG863 them; for they do not knowG3609 whatG5101 they are doingG4160.”] 3And they castG906 lotsG2819, dividingG1266 His garmentsG2440 amongG1266 themselves. 35And the peopleG2992 stoodG2476 by, watchingG2334. And evenG2532 the 4rulersG758 were sneeringG1592 at Him, sayingG3004, “He savedG4982 othersG243; 5let Him saveG4982 HimselfG1438 ifG1487 thisG3778 is the 6ChristG5547 of GodG2316, His ChosenG1588 OneG1588.” 36The soldiersG4757 alsoG2532 ridiculedG1702 Him, comingG4334 upG4334 to Him, 7offeringG4374 Him sourG3690 wineG3690, 37and sayingG3004, “8IfG1487 You are the KingG935 of the JewsG2453, saveG4982 YourselfG4572!” 38NowG1161 there was alsoG2532 an inscriptionG1923 aboveG1909 Him, “9THISG3778 IS THE KINGG935 OF THE JEWSG2453.”
3910OneG1520 of the criminalsG2557 who were hangedG2910 there was 11hurlingG987 abuseG987 at Him, sayingG3004, “Are You not the 12ChristG5547? 13SaveG4982 YourselfG4572 and us!” 40But the otherG2087 respondedG611, and rebukingG2008 him, saidG5346, “Do you not evenG3761 fearG5399 GodG2316, sinceG3754 you are underG1722 the sameG846 sentenceG2917 ofG2917 condemnationG2917? 41And we indeedG3303 are suffering justlyG1346, for we are receivingG618 14whatG3739 we deserveG514 for our crimesG3739G4238; but thisG3778 ManG3778 has doneG4238 nothingG3762 wrongG824.” 42And he was sayingG3004, “JesusG2424, rememberG3403 me whenG3752 You comeG2064 into Your kingdomG932!” 43And He saidG3004 to him, “TrulyG281 I sayG3004 to you, todayG4594 you will be with Me in 15ParadiseG3857.”
