21For they allπάντεςpantesG3956seekζητοῦσιν,zētousinG2212afterG2212their ownἑαυτῶνhe'autōnG1438interests,not thoseG3588of ChristΧριστοῦ·ChristouG5547JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424.

22But you knowγινώσκετε,ginōsketeG1097of his provenG1382characterG1382, thathe servedἐδούλευσενedouleusenG1398with me in the furtherance of the gospelεὐαγγέλιον.euangelionG2098likeὡςhōsG5613a childτέκνονteknonG5043servinghis fatherπατρὶpatriG3962.

23ThereforeοὖνounG3767I hopeἐλπίζωelpizōG1679to sendπέμψαιpempsaiG3992him immediatelyἐξαυτῆς·exautēsG1824,as soon as I seeG872howG872thingsτὰtaG3588go with me;

27For indeedκαὶkaiG2532he was sickἠσθένησενēsthenēsenG770to the pointπαραπλήσιονparaplēsionG3897of deathθανάτῳ·thanatōG2288,but GodθεὸςtheosG2316hadG1653mercyἠλέησενēleēsenG1653on him, and not onlyμόνονmononG3441on him but alsoκαὶkaiG2532on me, soG2443thatG2443I would not haveσχῶ.schōG2192sorrowλύπηνlupēnG3077upon sorrowλύπηνlupēnG3077.

28ThereforeοὖνounG3767I have sentἔπεμψαepempsaG3992him allG4709theG4709moreG4709eagerlyG4709,soG2443thatG2443when you seeG3708him againπάλινpalinG3825you may rejoiceχαρῆτε,charēteG5463and I may be lessG253concernedG253about you.

29ReceiveπροσδέχεσθεprosdechestheG4327him thenοὖνounG3767in the LordκυρίῳkuriōG2962with allπάσηςpasēsG3956joyχαρᾶςcharasG5479, andholdἔχετε·echeteG2192peopleG5108likeG5108him in highG1784regardG1784,
