9When they were comingG2597downG2597from the mountainὄρουςorousG3735,JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424commandedἐνετείλατοeneteilatoG1781them, sayingλέγων·legōnG3004, “TellG3004the visionὅραμαhoramaG3705to noG3367oneμηδενὶmēdeniG3367untilἕωςhe'ōsG2193the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444hasrisenἐγερθῇ.¶egerthēaG1453from the deadνεκρῶνnekrōnG3498.”

10And His disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101askedἐπηρώτησανepērōtēsanG1905Him, “WhyτίtiG5101thenοὖνounG3767do the scribesγραμματεῖςgrammateisG1122sayG3004thatElijahἨλίανĒlianG2243mustδεῖdeiG1163comeἐλθεῖνeltheinG2064firstπρῶτον;¶prōtonG4413?”

11And He answeredἀποκριθεὶςapokritheisG611and saidG3004,“ElijahἨλίαςĒliasG2243is comingἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064and will restoreἀποκαταστήσειapokatastēseiG600allG3956thingsπάντα·pantaG3956;

12but I sayλέγωlegōG3004to you that ElijahἨλίαςĒliasG2243alreadyἤδηēdēG2235cameἦλθεν,ēlthenG2064,and they did not recognizeἐπέγνωσανepegnōsanG1921him, but didἐποίησανepoiēsanG4160to him whateverὅσαhosaG3745they wantedἠθέλησαν·ēthelēsanG2309.SoοὕτωςhoutōsG3779alsoG2532the SonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444isG3195goingG3195toG3195sufferπάσχεινpascheinG3958atG5259their handsG5259.”

13ThenτότεtoteG5119the disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101understoodσυνῆκανsunēkanG4920that He had spokenG3004to them aboutπερὶperiG4012JohnἸωάννουIōannouG2491the BaptistβαπτιστοῦbaptistouG910.

14When they cameἐλθόντωνelthontōnG2064to the crowdὄχλονochlonG3793,a manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444cameG4334upG4334toJesus, fallingG1120onG1120his kneesG1120beforeG1120Him and sayingG3004,

15“Lordκύριε,kurieG2962,haveG1653mercyἐλέησόνeleēsonG1653on my sonυἱόν,huionG5207,becauseὅτιhotiG3754hehasG4583seizuresG4583and suffersG2192terriblyκακῶςkakōsG2560;for he oftenπολλάκιςpollakisG4178fallsπίπτειpipteiG4098into the fireπῦρpurG4442and oftenπολλάκιςpollakisG4178into the waterὕδωρ.hudōrG5204.

16And I broughtπροσήνεγκαprosēnegkaG4374him to Your disciplesμαθηταῖςmathētaisG3101,and they couldἠδυνήθησανēdunēthēsanG1410not cureθεραπεῦσαι.¶therapeusaiG2323him.”

17And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424answeredἈποκριθεὶςApokritheisG611and saidG3004,“YouὦōG5599unbelievingἄπιστοςapistosG571and perverseδιεστραμμένη,diestrammenēG1294generationγενεὰgeneaG1074,howG2193longπότεpoteG2193 G4219shall I be with you? HowG2193longπότεpoteG2193 G4219shall I putG430upG430with you? BringφέρετέphereteG5342him hereὧδε.hōdeG5602to Me.”

18And JesusἸησοῦς,IēsousG2424rebukedἐπετίμησενepetimēsenG2008him, and the demonδαιμόνιον,daimonionG1140cameG1831outG1831of him, and the boyπαῖςpaisG3816was healedἐθεραπεύθηetherapeuthēG2323at onceὥρας ἐκείνης.¶hōras ekeinēsG575 G1565 G5610.

19ThenΤότεToteG5119the disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101cameπροσελθόντεςproselthontesG4334to JesusἸησοῦIēsouG2424privatelyκατ᾽ ἰδίανkat᾽ idianG2596 G2398and saidG3004, “Whyδιὰ τίdia tiG1223 G5101couldἠδυνήθημενēdunēthēmenG1410we not castἐκβαλεῖνekbaleinG1544it outG1544?”

20And He saidG3004to them,“BecauseδιὰdiaG1223of your meagerG3640faithG3640;for trulyἀμὴνamēnG281I sayG3004to you,ifἐὰνeanG1437you haveἔχητεechēteG2192faithπίστινpistinG4102the sizeὡςhōsG5613ofa mustardσινάπεως,sinapeōsG4615seedκόκκονkokkonG2848,you will sayG3004tothisτούτῳ·toutōG3778mountainὄρειoreiG3735, ‘MoveμετάβαmetabaG3327fromG1759hereG1759to thereἐκεῖ,ekeiG1563,’and it will moveμεταβήσεται·metabēsetaiG3327; andnothingοὐδὲνoudenG3762will be impossibleἀδυνατήσειadunatēseiG101for you.”
