19NowοὖνounG3767when it was eveningὀψίαςopsiasG3798on that dayἡμέρᾳhēmeraG2250,the firstμιᾷmiaG1520dayof the weekσαββάτωνsabbatōnG4521,and when the doorsθυρῶνthurōnG2374wereshutκεκλεισμένωνkekleismenōnG2808whereὅπουhopouG3699the disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101were togetherdueδιὰdiaG1223tofearφόβονphobonG5401of theJewsἸουδαίων,IoudaiōnG2453,JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424cameἦλθενēlthenG2064and stoodἔστηestēG2476in their midstμέσονmesonG3319,and saidλέγειlegeiG3004to them, “PeaceεἰρήνηeirēnēG1515be to you.”

20And when He had saidG3004thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778,He showedἔδειξενedeixenG1166them bothG2532His handsχεῖραςcheirasG5495and His sideπλευρὰνpleuranG4125.The disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101thenοὖνounG3767rejoicedἐχάρησανecharēsanG5463when they sawG3708the Lordκύριον.¶kurionG2962.

21SoοὖνounG3767JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424saidG3004to them againπάλιν·palinG3825, “PeaceεἰρήνηeirēnēG1515be to you;justG2531asG2531the FatherπατὴρpatērG3962has sentἀπέσταλκένapestalkenG649Me, I alsoκἀγὼkagōkaiG2532sendπέμπωpempōG3992you.”

22And when He had saidλέγειlegeiG3004thisτοῦτοtoutoG3778,He breathedG1720onG1720them and saidG3004to them,“ReceiveλάβετεlabeteG2983the Holyἅγιον.hagionG40SpiritπνεῦμαpneumaG4151.

23IfἄνanG302you forgiveἀφῆτεaphēteG863the sinsἁμαρτίας,hamartiasG266of anyτινωνtinōnG5100, their sinshave been forgivenἀφέωνταιapheōntaiG863them; ifἄνanG302you retainκρατῆτε,kratēteG2902the sinsof anyτινωνtinōnG5100,they have been retainedκεκράτηνται.¶kekratēntaiG2902.”

24ButThomasΘωμᾶςThōmasG2381,oneεἷςheisG1520ofthe twelveδώδεκαdōdekaG1427,whoG3588was calledλεγόμενοςlegomenosG3004DidymusΔίδυμοςDidumosG1324,was not with them whenὅτεhoteG3753JesusἸησοῦς.IēsousG2424cameἦλθενēlthenG2064.

25SoοὖνounG3767the otherἄλλοιalloiG243disciplesμαθηταί·mathētaiG3101were sayingἔλεγονelegonG3004to him, “We have seenG3708the Lordκύριον.kurionG2962!”But he saidG3004to them, “UnlessἐὰνeanG1437 G3361I seeG3708inHis handsχερσὶνchersinG5495the imprintG5179of the nailsἥλωνhēlōnG2247,and putβάλωbalōG906my fingerδάκτυλόνdaktulonG1147into the placeG5117of the nailsἥλωνhēlōnG2247,and putβάλωbalōG906my handχεῖραcheiraG5495into His sideπλευρὰνpleuranG4125,I will not believeπιστεύσω.¶pisteusōG4100.”

26EightὀκτὼoktōG3638daysἡμέραςhēmerasG2250laterG3326His disciplesμαθηταὶmathētaiG3101were againπάλινpalinG3825insideἔσωesōG2080,and ThomasΘωμᾶςThōmasG2381waswith them. JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424cameἔρχεταιerchetaiG2064,the doorsθυρῶνthurōnG2374having beenshutκεκλεισμένωνkekleismenōnG2808,and stoodἔστηestēG2476in their midstμέσονmesonG3319and saidG3004, “PeaceεἰρήνηeirēnēG1515be to you.”

27ThenεἶταeitaG1534He saidλέγειlegeiG3004to ThomasΘωμᾷ·ThōmaG2381, “PlaceφέρεphereG5342your fingerδάκτυλόνdaktulonG1147hereὧδεhōdeG5602,and seeG3708My handsχεῖράςcheirasG5495;and takeφέρεphereG5342your handχεῖράcheiraG5495and putβάλεbaleG906it into My sideπλευράνpleuranG4125;and do not continueγίνουginouG1096in disbeliefἄπιστοςapistosG571, but bea believerπιστός.¶pistosG4103.”

28ThomasΘωμᾶςThōmasG2381answeredἀπεκρίθηapekrithēG611and saidG3004to Him, “My LordκύριόςkuriosG2962and my GodθεόςtheosG2316!”

29JesusἸησοῦς·IēsousG2424saidλέγειlegeiG3004to him,“BecauseὅτιhotiG3754you have seenG3708Me, have you nowbelievedπεπίστευκας·pepisteukasG4100?BlessedμακάριοιmakarioiG3107arethey who did not seeG3708, and yetbelievedπιστεύσαντες.¶pisteusantesG4100.”
