Hebrews 4:3-16

3For we whoG5101 have believedG4100 enterG1525 that restG2663, justG2531 as He has saidG3004, “1As I sworeG3660 in My wrathG3709, They shall not enterG1525 My restG2663,” althoughG2543 His worksG2041 were finishedG1096 2from the foundationG2602 of the worldG2889. 4For He has saidG3004 3somewhereG4225 concerningG4012 the seventhG1442 day: “4And GodG2316 5restedG2664 on the seventhG1442 dayG2250 from allG3956 His worksG2041”; 5and againG3825 in thisG3778 passage, “6They shall not enterG1525 My restG2663.” 6ThereforeG3767, sinceG1893 it remainsG620 for someG5100 to enterG1525 it, and thoseG3588 whoG5101 formerlyG4387 had goodG2097 newsG2097 preachedG2097 to them failedG3756 to enterG1525 becauseG1223 of 7disobedienceG543, 7He againG3825 fixesG3724 a certainG5100 dayG2250, “TodayG4594,” sayingG3004 8throughG1722 DavidG1160 afterG3326 soG5118 longG5118 a timeG5550 justG2531 9as has been saidG4275 beforeG4275, “10TodayG4594 ifG1437 you hearG191 His voiceG5456, Do not hardenG4645 your heartsG2588.” 8For 11ifG1437 12JoshuaG2424 had givenG2664 them restG2664, He would not have spokenG2980 of anotherG243 dayG2250 afterG3326 that. 9SoG686 there remainsG620 a SabbathG4520 restG4520 for the peopleG2992 of GodG2316. 10For the one whoG5101 has enteredG1525 His restG2663 has himselfG846 alsoG2532 13restedG2664 from his worksG2041, as 14GodG2316 did from His. 11ThereforeG3767 let us be diligentG4704 to enterG1525 that restG2663, soG2443G3361 that noG3361 oneG5100 will fallG4098, throughG1722 following the sameG846 15exampleG5262 of 16disobedienceG543. 12For 17the wordG3056 of GodG2316 is 18livingG2198 and 19activeG1756 and sharperG5114 thanG5228 anyG3956 two-edgedG1366 20swordG3162, and piercingG1338 as farG891 as the divisionG3311 of 21soulG5590 and 22spiritG4151, of bothG5037 jointsG719 and marrowG3452, and 23ableG2924 to judgeG2924 the thoughtsG1761 and intentionsG1771 of the heartG2588. 13And 24there is noG3756 creatureG2937 hiddenG852 from His sightG1799, but allG3956 thingsG3956 are 25openG1131 and laidG5136 bareG5136 to the eyesG3788 of Him with whomG3739 we haveG3056 to doG3056.

14ThereforeG3767, since we haveG2192 a greatG3173 26highG749 priestG749 whoG5101 has 27passedG1330 throughG1330 the heavensG3772, JesusG2424 28the SonG5207 of GodG2316, let us holdG2902 fastG2902 our 29confessionG3671. 15For we do not haveG2192 30a highG749 priestG749 whoG5101 cannotG1410G3361 sympathizeG4834 with our weaknessesG769, but One whoG5101 has been 31temptedG3985 in allG3956 thingsG3956 as we are, yet 32withoutG5565 sinG266. 16ThereforeG3767 let us 33drawG4334 nearG4334 with 34confidenceG3954 to the throneG2362 of graceG5485, soG2443 that we may receiveG2983 mercyG1656 and findG2147 graceG5485 to helpG996 in timeG2121 of needG2121.
