John 5:3-21

For 1thisG3778 is the loveG26 of GodG2316, that we 2keepG5083 His commandmentsG1785; and 3His commandmentsG1785 are not burdensomeG926. 4For whateverG3956 is 4 5bornG1080 of GodG2316 6overcomesG3528 the worldG2889; and thisG3778 is the victoryG3529 that has overcomeG3528 the worldG2889--our faithG4102.

WhoG5101 is the one who overcomesG3528 the worldG2889, but he who 7believesG4100 that JesusG2424 is the SonG5207 of GodG2316? 6ThisG3778 is the One who cameG2064 8by waterG5204 and bloodG129, JesusG2424 ChristG5547; not 9with the waterG5204 onlyG3440, but 10with the waterG5204 and 11with the bloodG129. It is 12the SpiritG4151 who testifiesG3140, becauseG3754 the SpiritG4151 is the truthG225. 7For thereG1510 are 13threeG5140 that testifyG3140: 8 14the SpiritG4151 and the waterG5204 and the bloodG129; and the threeG5140 are 15in agreementG1520. 9 16IfG1487 we receiveG2983 the testimonyG3141 of menG444, the testimonyG3141 of GodG2316 is greaterG3173; for the testimonyG3141 of GodG2316 is thisG3778, that 17He has testifiedG3140 concerningG4012 His SonG5207. 10The one who believesG4100 in the SonG5207 of GodG2316 18hasG2192 the testimonyG3141 in himselfG846; the one who does not believeG4100 GodG2316 has 19madeG4160 Him a liarG5583, becauseG3754 he has not believedG4100 in the testimonyG3141 that GodG2316 has givenG3140 concerningG4012 His SonG5207. 11And the testimonyG3141 is thisG3778, that GodG2316 has givenG1325 us 20eternalG166 lifeG2222, and 21thisG3778 lifeG2222 is in His SonG5207. 12 22He who hasG2192 the SonG5207 hasG2192 the lifeG2222; he who does not haveG2192 the SonG5207 of GodG2316 does not haveG2192 the lifeG2222.

23TheseG3778 thingsG3778 I have writtenG1125 to you who 24believeG4100 in the nameG3686 of the SonG5207 of GodG2316, soG2443 that you may knowG3609 that you haveG2192 25eternalG166 lifeG2222. 14ThisG3778 is 26the confidenceG3954 whichG3739 we haveG2192 27beforeG4314 Him, that, 28ifG1437 we askG154 anythingG5100 accordingG2596 to His willG2307, He hearsG191 us. 15And ifG1437 we knowG3609 that He hearsG191 us in whateverG3739 G1437 we askG154, 29we knowG3609 that we haveG2192 the requestsG155 whichG3739 we have askedG154 from Him.

IfG1437 anyoneG5100 seesG3708 his brotherG80 30committingG264 a sinG266 not leading to deathG2288, 31he shall askG154 and 32God will for him giveG1325 lifeG2222 to thoseG3588 who commitG264 sinG264 not leading to deathG2288. 33There is a sinG266 leading to deathG2288; 34I do not sayG3004 that he should makeG2065 requestG2065 for thisG1565. 17 35AllG3956 unrighteousnessG93 is sinG266, and 36there is a sinG266 not leading to deathG2288.

37We knowG3609 that 38noG3956 G3756 oneG3956 who is 39bornG1080 of GodG2316 sinsG264; but He who was 40bornG1080 of GodG2316 41keepsG5083 him, and 42the evilG4190 oneG4190 does not 43touchG681 him. 19 44We knowG3609 that 45we are of GodG2316, and that 46the wholeG3650 worldG2889 liesG2749 in the power of the evilG4190 oneG4190. 20And 47we knowG3609 that 48the SonG5207 of GodG2316 hasG2240 comeG2240, and has 49givenG1325 us understandingG1271 soG2443 that we may knowG1097 50Him whoG228 is trueG228; and we 51are in Him whoG228 is trueG228, in His SonG5207 JesusG2424 ChristG5547. 52ThisG3778 is the trueG228 GodG2316 and 53eternalG166 lifeG2222.
