Revelation 20
Satan Bound
1Then I saw 1an angel coming down from heaven, holding the 2key of the abyss and a great chain 3in his hand. 2And he laid hold of the 4dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and 5bound him for a thousand years; 3and he threw him into the 6abyss, and shut it and 7sealed it over him, so that he would 8not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.
4Then I saw 9thrones, and 10they sat on them, and 11judgment was given to them. And I saw 12the souls of those who had been beheaded because of 13their 14testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not 15worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the 16mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they 17came to life and 18reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. 19This is the first resurrection. 620Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the 21second death has no power, but they will be 22priests of God and of Christ and will 23reign with Him for a thousand years.
Satan Freed, Doomed
7When the thousand years are completed, Satan will be 24released from his prison, 8and will come out to 25deceive the nations which are in the 26four corners of the earth, 27Gog and Magog, to 28gather them together for the war; the number of them is like the 29sand of the 30seashore. 9And they 31came up on the 32broad plain of the earth and surrounded the 33camp of the 34saints and the 35beloved city, and 36fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10And 37the devil who 38deceived them was thrown into the 39lake of fire and 40brimstone, where the 41beast and the 42false prophet are also; and they will be 43tormented day and night forever and ever.
Judgment at the Throne of God
11Then I saw a great white 44throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose 45presence 46earth and heaven fled away, and 47no place was found for them. 12And I saw the dead, the 48great and the small, standing before the throne, and 4950books were opened; and another 51book was opened, which is 52the book of life; and the dead 53were judged from the things which were written in the 54books, 55according to their deeds. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and 56death and Hades 57gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them 58according to their deeds. 14Then 59death and Hades were thrown into 60the lake of fire. This is the 61second death, the lake of fire. 15And if 62anyone’s name was not found written in 63the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
