17And JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424saidG3004to him,“BlessedμακάριοςmakariosG3107are you,SimonΣίμωνSimōnG4613BarjonaΒαριωνᾶ,BariōnaG920,becauseὅτιhotiG3754fleshσὰρξsarxG4561and bloodαἷμαhaimaG129did not revealἀπεκάλυψένapekalupsenG601thisto you, but My FatherπατήρpatērG3962whoG3588is in heavenοὐρανοῖς.ouranoisG3772.
19I will giveδώσωdōsōG1325youthe keysκλεῖδαςkleidasG2807of the kingdomβασιλείαςbasileiasG932of heavenοὐρανῶν,ouranōnG3772; andwhateverὃ ἐὰνho eanG3739G1437you bindδήσῃςdēsēsG1210on earthγῆς,gēsG1093shall have been boundδεδεμένονdedemenonG1210in heavenοὐρανοῖς,ouranoisG3772,and whateverὃ ἐὰνho eanG3739G1437you looseλύσῃςlusēsG3089on earthγῆς,gēsG1093shall have been loosedλελυμένονlelumenonG3089in heavenοὐρανοῖς.¶ouranoisG3772.”
21From that timeτότεtoteG5119JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424beganἤρξατοērxatoG757to showδεικνύεινdeiknueinG1166His disciplesμαθηταῖςmathētaisG3101that He mustδεῖdeiG1163goἀπελθεῖνapeltheinG565to JerusalemἹεροσόλυμαHi'erosolumaG2414, andsufferπαθεῖνpatheinG3958manyπολλὰpollaG4183thingsG4183from the eldersπρεσβυτέρωνpresbuterōnG4245and chiefἀρχιερέωνarchiereōnG749priestsG749and scribesγραμματέωνgrammateōnG1122,and be killedἀποκτανθῆναιapoktanthēnaiG615,and be raisedἐγερθῆναι.egerthēnaiG1453up on the thirdτρίτῃtritēG5154dayἡμέρᾳhēmeraG2250.
23But He turnedστραφεὶςstrapheisG4762and saidG3004to PeterΠέτρῳ·PetrōG4074,“GetὕπαγεhupageG5217behindὀπίσωopisōG3694Me,Satanσατανᾶ,satanaG4567!You are a stumblingσκάνδαλονskandalonG4625blockG4625to Me; for you are not settingG5426your mindG5426onGod’sθεοῦtheouG2316interests, but man’sἀνθρώπων.¶anthrōpōnG444.”
24ThenΤότεToteG5119JesusἸησοῦςIēsousG2424saidG3004to His disciplesμαθηταῖςmathētaisG3101,“IfεἴeiG1487anyoneτιςtisG5100wishesθέλειtheleiG2309to comeἐλθεῖν,eltheinG2064afterὀπίσωopisōG3694Me, he must denyἀπαρνησάσθωaparnēsasthōG533himselfἑαυτὸνhe'autonG1438, andtakeἀράτωaratōG142up his crossσταυρὸνstauronG4716and followἀκολουθείτωakoloutheitōG190Me.
26For whatΤίTiG5101will it profitὠφεληθήσεταιōphelēthēsetaiG5623a manἄνθρωπος,anthrōposG444ifἐὰνeanG1437he gainsκερδήσῃ,kerdēsēG2770the wholeὅλονholonG3650worldκόσμονkosmonG2889and forfeitsζημιωθῇ;zēmiōthēaG2210his soulψυχὴνpsuchēnG5590?OrἢēG2228whatτίtiG5101will a manἄνθρωποςanthrōposG444giveδώσειdōseiG1325in exchangeἀντάλλαγμαantallagmaG465for his soulψυχῆςpsuchēsG5590?
27For theSonυἱὸςhuiosG5207of ManἀνθρώπουanthrōpouG444is goingμέλλειmelleiG3195to comeἔρχεσθαιerchesthaiG2064in the gloryδόξῃdoxēG1391of His FatherπατρὸςpatrosG3962with His angelsἀγγέλωνangelōnG32, andwill thenτότεtoteG5119repayἀποδώσειapodōseiG591everyG1538manG1538accordingκατὰkataG2596to hisdeedsπρᾶξινpraxinG4234.
