1And Jehovah saidH559 to AaronH175, Thou and thy sonsH1121 and thy father's houseH1004 with thee shall bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the sanctuaryH4720; and thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of your priesthoodH3550. 2And thy brethren alsoH1571, the tribeH4294 of LeviH3878, the tribeH4294 of thy fatherH1, bringH7126 near with thee, that they may unite with thee, and minister unto thee; but thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee [shall serveH8334] before the tentH168 of the testimonyH5715. 3And they shall keepH8104 thy chargeH4931, and the chargeH4931 of the whole tentH168: onlyH389 they shall not come near to the vesselsH3627 of the sanctuaryH6944 and to the altarH4196, that they may not dieH4191, and you as wellH1571 as they. 4And they shall unite with thee, and keepH8104 the chargeH4931 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, for all the serviceH5656 of the tentH168; and no stranger shall come near to you. 5And ye shall keepH8104 the chargeH4931 of the sanctuaryH6944, and the chargeH4931 of the altarH4196; that there come no wrathH7110 any more upon the children of IsraelH3478. 6And I, behold, I have takenH3947 your brethren, the LevitesH3881, from among the children of IsraelH3478; to you are they givenH5414 as a giftH4979 for Jehovah to perform the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 7But thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall attend to your priesthoodH3550 for all that concerneth the altarH4196, and for that which is inside the veil; and ye shall perform the serviceH5656: I giveH5414 you your priesthoodH3550 as a serviceH5656 of giftH4979, and the stranger that cometh near shall be putH5414 to deathH4191. 8And Jehovah spokeH1696 to AaronH175, And I, behold, I have givenH5414 thee the chargeH4931 of my heave-offerings, of all the hallowed things of the children of IsraelH3478; to thee have I givenH5414 them, because of the anointingH4888, and to thy sonsH1121 by an everlasting statuteH2706. 9This shall beH1961 thine of the most holyH6944 thingsH6944, [reserved] from the fireH784: every offeringH4503 of theirs, of all their oblations, and of all their sin-offerings, and of all their trespass-offerings, which they render unto me, it is most holyH6944 for thee and for thy sonsH1121. 10As most holyH6944 shalt thou eatH398 it: every maleH2145 shall eatH398 it; it shall beH1961 holyH6944 unto thee. 11And this shall be thine: the heave-offering of their giftH4976, with all the wave-offerings of the children of IsraelH3478; I have givenH5414 them unto thee, and to thy sonsH1121 and to thy daughtersH1323 with thee, by an everlasting statuteH2706; every oneH2088 that is cleanH2889 in thy houseH1004 shall eatH398 of it. 12All the best of the oilH3323, and all the best of the newH8492 wineH8492, and of the wheat, the firstfruits of them which they giveH5414 to Jehovah, have I givenH5414 thee. 13The first ripe of everythingH3605 that is in their landH776, which they shall bringH935 to Jehovah, shall beH1961 thine; every one that is cleanH2889 in thy houseH1004 shall eatH398 of it. 14Every devoted thing in IsraelH3478 shall beH1961 thine. 15EverythingH3605 that breaketh open the wombH7358 of all fleshH1320, which they presentH7126 to Jehovah, of menH120 or of beasts, shall beH1961 thine; neverthelessH389 the firstbornH1060 of manH120 shalt thou in any case ransomH6299, and the firstbornH1060 of uncleanH2931 beasts shalt thou ransomH6299. 16And those that are to be ransomedH6299 from a monthH2320 old shalt thou ransomH6299, according to thy valuationH6187, for the moneyH3701 of fiveH2568 shekelsH8255, after the shekelH8255 of the sanctuaryH6944, which is twentyH6242 gerahsH1626. 17But the firstbornH1060 of a cow, or the firstbornH1060 of a sheep, or the firstbornH1060 of a goatH5795, thou shalt not ransomH6299: they are holyH6944. Thou shalt sprinkleH2236 their bloodH1818 on the altarH4196, and their fatH2459 shalt thou burn as an offeringH801 by fireH801 for a sweet odour to Jehovah. 18And their fleshH1320 shall beH1961 thine; as the wave-breast and as the rightH3225 shoulder shall it beH1961 thine. 19All the heave-offerings of the holyH6944 thingsH6944, which the children of IsraelH3478 offerH7311 to Jehovah, have I givenH5414 thee, and to thy sonsH1121 and to thy daughtersH1323 with thee, by an everlasting statuteH2706: it shall be an everlasting covenantH1285 of saltH4417 before Jehovah unto thee and thy seedH2233 with thee. 20And Jehovah saidH559 to AaronH175, In their landH776 thou shalt have no inheritanceH5159, neither shalt thou have any portionH2506 among them: I am thy portionH2506 and thine inheritanceH5159 among the children of IsraelH3478. 21And to the children of LeviH3878, behold, I have givenH5414 all the tithesH4643 in IsraelH3478 for an inheritanceH5159, for their serviceH5656 which they perform, the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 22Neither shall the children of IsraelH3478 henceforth come near the tentH168 of meetingH4150, to bearH5375 sinH2399 and dieH4191. 23But the LeviteH3881, he shall perform the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and they shall bearH5375 their iniquityH5771: it is an everlasting statuteH2708 throughout your generationsH1755. And among the children of IsraelH3478 shall they possessH5157 no inheritanceH5159; 24for I have givenH5414 for an inheritanceH5159 to the LevitesH3881 the tithesH4643 of the children of IsraelH3478, which they offerH7311 as a heave-offering to Jehovah; thereforeH3651 I have saidH559 of them, They shall possessH5157 no inheritanceH5159 among the children of IsraelH3478. 25And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 26And to the LevitesH3881 shalt thou speakH1696, and sayH559 unto them, When ye takeH3947 of the children of IsraelH3478 the tithesH4643 which I have givenH5414 you from them for your inheritanceH5159, then ye shall offerH7311 a heave-offering from it for Jehovah, the tenthH4643 of the titheH4643. 27And your heave-offering shall be reckonedH2803 unto you, as the corn from the threshing-floor, and as the fulness of the winepressH3342. 28ThusH3651 ye alsoH1571 shall offerH7311 Jehovah's heave-offering of all your tithesH4643, which ye takeH3947 of the children of IsraelH3478; and ye shall giveH5414 thereof Jehovah's heave-offering to AaronH175 the priestH3548. 29Out of all that is given you ye shall offerH7311 the whole heave-offering of Jehovah, — of all the best thereof the hallowed part thereof. 30And thou shalt sayH559 unto them, When ye heave the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the LevitesH3881 as produceH8393 of the threshing-floor, and as produceH8393 of the winepressH3342. 31And ye shall eatH398 it in every placeH4725, ye and your householdsH1004; for it is your rewardH7939 for your serviceH5656 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 32And ye shall bearH5375 no sinH2399 by reason of it, if ye heave from it the best of it; and ye shall not profaneH2490 the holyH6918 things of the children of IsraelH3478, lest ye dieH4191.
