And youH859 and your sonsH1121 alone must bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 involving your priesthoodH3550. 2But bringH7126 with youH854 alsoH1571 your brothersH251 from the tribeH4294 of LeviH3878, the tribeH7626 of your fatherH1, that they may joinH3867 youH5921 and assistH8334 youH859 and your sonsH1121H854 beforeH6440 the TentH168 of the TestimonyH5715. 3And they shall attendH8104 to your dutiesH4931 and to all the dutiesH4931H3605 of the TentH168H389; butH413 they must notH3808 come nearH7126 to the furnishingsH3627 of the sanctuaryH6944 orH413 the altarH4196, orH3808 bothH1571 theyH1992 andH1571 youH859 will dieH4191. 4They are to joinH3867 youH5921 and attendH8104 to the dutiesH4931 of the TentH168 of MeetingH4150, doing allH3605 the workH5656 at the TentH168; but noH3808 outsiderH2114 may come nearH7126 youH413.

5And you shall attendH8104 to the dutiesH4931 of the sanctuaryH6944 and of the altarH4196, so that wrathH7110 may notH3808 fallH1961 onH5921 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 againH5750. 6BeholdH2009, I MyselfH589 have selectedH3947 your fellowH251 LevitesH3881 fromH8432 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 as a giftH4979 to you, dedicatedH5414 to the LORDH3068 to performH5647 the serviceH5656 for the TentH168 of MeetingH4150. 7But only youH859 and your sonsH1121H854 shall attendH8104 to your priesthoodH3550 for everythingH3605 concerningH1697 the altarH4196 and what is insideH1004 the veilH6532, and you are to perform that serviceH5647. I am givingH5414 you the workH5656 of the priesthoodH3550 as a giftH4979, but any outsiderH2114 who comes nearH7131 the sanctuary must be put to deathH4191.”

Offerings for Priests and Levites

8Then the LORDH3068 saidH1696 toH413 AaronH175, “BeholdH2009, IH589 have putH5414 you in chargeH4931 of My offeringsH8641. As for allH3605 the sacred offeringsH6944 of the IsraelitesH1121H3478, I have given themH5414 to you and your sonsH1121 as a portionH4888 and a permanentH5769 statuteH2706. 9A portion ofH4480 the most holy offeringsH6944 reserved from the fireH784 will beH1961 yours. From allH3605 the offeringsH7133H3605 they renderH7725 to Me as most holyH6944 offerings, whether grain offeringsH4503H3605 or sin offeringsH2403H3605 or guilt offeringsH817, that part belongsH1931 to you and your sonsH1121. 10You are to eat itH398 as a most holyH6944 offering,1 and everyH3605 maleH2145 may eatH398 itH853. You shall regard itH1961 as holyH6944.

11And thisH2088 is yours as well: the offeringH8641 of their giftsH4976, along with allH3605 the wave offeringsH8573 of the IsraelitesH1121H3478. I have given thisH5414 to you and your sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323H854 as a permanentH5769 statuteH2706. EveryH3605 ceremonially clean personH2889 in your householdH1004 may eat itH398. 12I give youH5414 allH3605 the freshestH2459 olive oilH3323 and allH3605 the finestH2459 new wineH8492 and grainH1715 thatH834 the Israelites giveH5414 to the LORDH3068 as their firstfruitsH7225. 13The firstfruitsH1061 of everythingH3605 in their landH776 thatH834 they bringH935 to the LORDH3068 will belongH1961 to you. EveryH3605 ceremonially clean personH2889 in your householdH1004 may eat themH398.

14EveryH3605 devoted thingH2764 in IsraelH3478 belongs to youH1961. 15The firstbornH6363H7358H3605 of everyH3605 wombH1320, whetherH834 manH120 or beastH929, that is offeredH7126 to the LORDH3068 belongsH1961 to you. ButH389 you must surely redeemH6299 every firstbornH1060 sonH120 and every firstborn maleH1060 of uncleanH2931 animalsH929. 16You are to pay the redemption priceH6299 for a month-old maleH1121H2320H6299 according to your valuationH6187: fiveH2568 shekelsH8255 of silverH3701,2 according to the sanctuaryH6944 shekelH8255, whichH1931 is twentyH6242 gerahsH1626.3

17ButH389 you must notH3808 redeemH6299 the firstbornH1060 of an oxH7794, a sheepH3775H176H1060, orH176H1060 a goatH5795; theyH1992 are holyH6944. You are to splatterH2236 their bloodH1818 onH5921 the altarH4196 and burnH6999 their fatH2459 as a food offeringH801, a pleasingH5207 aromaH7381 to the LORDH3068. 18And their meatH1320 belongsH1961 to you, just as the breastH2373 and rightH3225 thighH7785 of the wave offeringH8573 belongH1961 to you.

19AllH3605 the holyH6944 offeringsH8641 thatH834 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 presentH7311 to the LORDH3068 I giveH5414 to you and to your sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323H854 as a permanentH5769 statuteH2706. ItH1931 is a permanentH5769 covenantH1285 of saltH44174 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 for you and your offspringH2233H854.”

20Then the LORDH3068H413 saidH559 to AaronH175, “You will have noH3808 inheritanceH5157 in their landH776, norH3808 will you haveH1961 any portionH2506 among themH8432. IH589 am your portionH2506 and your inheritanceH5159 amongH8432 the IsraelitesH1121H3478.

21BeholdH2009, I have givenH5414 to the LevitesH1121H3878 allH3605 the tithesH4643 in IsraelH3478 as an inheritanceH5159 in return forH2500 the workH5656 theyH1992 doH5647, the serviceH5656 of the TentH168 of MeetingH4150. 22NoH3808 longerH5750 may the IsraelitesH1121H3478 comeH413 nearH7126 to the TentH168 of MeetingH4150, or they will incurH5375 guiltH2399 and dieH4191.

23The LevitesH3881H1931 are to performH5647 the workH5656 of the TentH168 of MeetingH4150, and theyH1992 must bearH5375 their iniquityH5771. This is a permanentH5769 statuteH2708 for the generations to comeH1755. The Levites will notH3808 receive an inheritanceH5157H5159 amongH8432 the IsraelitesH1121H3478. 24ForH3588 I have givenH5414 to the LevitesH3881 as their inheritanceH5159 the titheH4643 thatH834 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 presentH7311 to the LORDH3068 as a contributionH8641. That is whyH5921H3651 I told themH559 that they would notH3808 receive an inheritanceH5157H5159 amongH8432 the IsraelitesH1121H3478.”

25And the LORDH3068H413 instructedH1696 MosesH4872H559, 26“SpeakH1696 toH413 the LevitesH3881 and tell themH559H413: ‘WhenH3588 you receiveH3947 fromH854 the IsraelitesH1121H3478 the titheH4643 thatH834 I have givenH5414 youH854 as your inheritanceH5159, you must presentH7311 partH4480 of itH4480 as an offeringH8641 to the LORDH3068—a titheH4643 of the titheH4643. 27Your offeringH8641 will be reckonedH2803 to you as grainH1715 fromH4480 the threshing floorH1637 or juiceH4395 fromH4480 the winepressH3342. 28SoH3651 youH859 are to presentH7311H1571 an offeringH8641 to the LORDH3068 from allH3605 the tithesH4643 you receiveH3947H854 from the IsraelitesH1121H3478, and fromH4480 these you are to giveH5414 the LORD’sH3068 offeringH8641 to AaronH175 the priestH3548. 29You must presentH7311 the offeringH8641 due the LORDH3068 fromH3605 allH3605 the bestH2459 of everyH3605 giftH4979, the holiest partH4720 of itH4480.’

30Therefore sayH559 toH413 the Levites, ‘When you have presentedH7311 the best partH2459, it will be reckonedH2803 to you as the produceH8393 of the threshing floorH1637 or winepressH8393H3342. 31And youH859 and your householdsH1004H3588 may eat the rest of it anywhereH398; itH1931 is the compensationH7939 forH2500 your workH5656 at the TentH168 of MeetingH4150. 32Once you have presentedH7311 the best partH2459 of itH4480, you will notH3808 incurH5375 guiltH2399 because of itH5921. ButH853 you must notH3808 defileH2490 the sacred offeringsH6944 of the IsraelitesH1121H3478, or elseH3808 you will dieH4191.’”
