Revised Version 1895
1And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto AaronH175, Thou and thy sonsH1121 and thy fathers’H1 houseH1004 with thee shall bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the sanctuaryH4720: and thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of your priesthoodH3550. 2And thy brethrenH251 also, the tribeH4294 of LeviH3878, the tribeH4294 of thy fatherH1, bringH7126 thou nearH7126 with thee, that they may be joinedH854 unto thee, and ministerH8334 unto thee: but thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall be beforeH6440 the tentH168 of the testimonyH5715. 3And they shall keepH8104 thy chargeH4931, and the chargeH4931 of allH3605 the TentH168: onlyH389 they shall notH3808 comeH7126 nigh unto the vesselsH3627 of the sanctuaryH6944 and unto the altarH4196, that they dieH4191 notH3808, neitherH3808 they, norH3808 ye. 4And they shall be joinedH7126 unto thee, and keepH8104 the chargeH4931 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, for allH3605 the serviceH5656 of the TentH168: and a stranger shall notH3808 comeH7126 nigh unto youH3605. 5And ye shall keepH8104 the chargeH4931 of the sanctuaryH6944, and the chargeH4931 of the altarH4196: that there be wrathH7110 noH3808 moreH5750 uponH5921 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478. 6And I, beholdH2009, I have takenH3947 your brethrenH251 the LevitesH3881 from among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: to youH5414 they are a giftH4979, givenH5414 unto the LORDH3068, to doH5647 the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 7And thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall keepH8104 your priesthoodH3550 for everyH3605 thingH1697 of the altarH4196, and for that withinH1004 the veilH6532; and ye shall serveH5647: I giveH5414 youH859 the priesthoodH3550 as a serviceH5656 of giftH4979: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be putH5414 to deathH4191. 8And the LORDH3068 spake unto AaronH175, And I, beholdH2009, I have givenH5414 thee the chargeH4931 of mine heaveH8641 offeringsH8641, evenH853 allH3605 the hallowed things of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, unto thee have I givenH5414 them by reason of the anointingH4888, and to thy sonsH1121, as a dueH2706 for everH5769. 9This shall be thine of the mostH6944 holyH6944 things, reserved from the fireH784: everyH3605 oblation of theirs, even everyH3605 mealH4503 offering of theirs, and everyH3605 sinH2403 offering of theirs, and everyH3605 guiltH817 offering of theirs, whichH834 they shall renderH7725 unto meH7725, shall be mostH6944 holyH6944 for thee and for thy sonsH1121. 10As the mostH6944 holyH6944 things shalt thou eatH398 thereof: everyH3605 maleH2145 shall eatH398 thereof; it shall be holyH6944 unto thee. 11And this is thine; the heaveH8641 offering of their giftH4976, evenH853 allH3605 the waveH8573 offeringsH8641 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478: I have givenH5414 them unto thee, and to thy sonsH1121 and to thy daughtersH1323 with thee, as a dueH2706 for everH5769: everyH3605 one that is cleanH2889 in thy houseH1004 shall eatH398 thereof. 12AllH3605 the bestH2459 of the oilH3323, and allH3605 the bestH2459 of the vintage, and of the corn, the firstfruits of them whichH834 they giveH5414 unto the LORDH3068, to thee have I givenH5414 them. 13The firstripe fruitsH1061 of allH3605 that is in their landH776, whichH834 they bringH935 unto the LORDH3068, shall be thine; everyH3605 one that is cleanH2889 in thy houseH1004 shall eatH398 thereof. 14EveryH3605 thingH3605 devotedH2764 in IsraelH3478 shall be thine. 15EveryH3605 thingH3605 that openeth the wombH7358, of allH3605 fleshH1320 whichH834 they offerH7126 unto the LORDH3068, bothH3605 of manH120 and beastH929, shall be thine: neverthelessH389 the firstbornH1060 of manH120 shalt thou surelyH389 redeemH6299, and the firstlingH6363 of uncleanH2931 beastsH929 shalt thou redeemH6299. 16And thoseH1121 that are to be redeemedH6299 of them from a monthH2320 oldH1121 shalt thou redeemH6299, according to thine estimation, for the moneyH3701 of fiveH2568 shekelsH8255, after the shekelH8255 of the sanctuaryH6944 (the sameH1931 is twentyH6242 gerahsH1626). 17But the firstling of an oxH7794, or the firstling of a sheepH3775, or the firstling of a goatH5795, thou shalt notH3808 redeemH6299; they are holyH6944: thou shalt sprinkleH2236 their bloodH1818 uponH5921 the altarH4196, and shalt burnH6999 their fatH2459 for an offering made by fireH801, for a sweet savour unto the LORDH3068. 18And the fleshH1320 of them shall be thine, as the waveH8573 breastH2373 and as the rightH3225 thighH7785, it shall be thine. 19AllH3605 the heaveH8641 offeringsH8641 of the holyH6944 things, whichH834 the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 offerH7311 unto the LORDH3068, have I givenH5414 thee, and thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323 with thee, as a dueH2706 for everH5769: it is a covenantH1285 of saltH4417 for everH5769 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 unto thee and to thy seedH2233 with thee. 20And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto AaronH175, Thou shalt have noH3808 inheritanceH5159 in their landH776, neitherH3808 shalt thou have anyH1961 portionH2506 among them: I am thy portionH2506 and thine inheritanceH5159 among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478. 21And unto the childrenH1121 of LeviH3878, beholdH2009, I have givenH5414 allH3605 the titheH4643 in IsraelH3478 for an inheritanceH5159, in returnH2500 for their serviceH5656 whichH834 they serveH5647, evenH853 the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 22And henceforth the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 shall notH3808 comeH7126 nigh the tentH168 of meetingH4150, lest they bearH5375 sinH2399, and dieH4191. 23But the LevitesH3881 shall doH5647 the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and they shall bearH5375 their iniquityH5771: it shall be a statuteH2708 for everH5769 throughoutH1755 your generationsH1755, and among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 they shall have noH3808 inheritanceH5159. 24For the titheH4643 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, whichH834 they offerH7311 as an heaveH8641 offering unto the LORDH3068, I have givenH5414 to the LevitesH3881 for an inheritanceH5159: therefore I have saidH559 unto them, Among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 they shall have noH3808 inheritanceH5159. 25And the LORDH3068 spake unto MosesH4872, sayingH559, 26MoreoverH1696 thou shalt speakH1696 unto the LevitesH3881, and sayH559 unto them, When ye takeH3947 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 the titheH4643 whichH834 I have givenH5414 youH834 from them for your inheritanceH5159, then ye shall offerH7311 upH7311 an heaveH8641 offering of it for the LORDH3068, a titheH4643 of the titheH4643. 27And your heaveH8641 offering shall be reckonedH2803 unto youH4480, as though it were the corn of the threshing-floor, and as the fulness of the winepressH3342. 28ThusH3651 ye also shall offerH7311 an heaveH8641 offering unto the LORDH3068 of allH3605 your tithesH4643, whichH834 ye receiveH3947 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478; and thereof ye shall giveH5414 the LORD’SH3068 heaveH8641 offering to AaronH175 the priestH3548. 29OutH4480 of allH3605 your giftsH4979 ye shall offerH7311 everyH3605 heaveH8641 offering of the LORDH3068, of allH3605 the bestH2459 thereof, evenH853 the hallowed partH4480 thereof outH4480 of it. 30Therefore thou shalt sayH559 unto them, When ye heave the bestH2459 thereof from it, then it shall be countedH2803 unto the LevitesH3881 as the increaseH8393 of the threshing-floor, and as the increaseH8393 of the winepressH3342. 31And ye shall eatH398 it in everyH3605 placeH4725, ye and your householdsH1004: for it is your rewardH7939 in returnH2500 for your serviceH5656 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 32And ye shall bearH5375 noH3808 sinH2399 by reasonH5921 of it, when ye have heaved from it the bestH2459 thereof: and ye shall notH3808 profaneH2490 the holyH6918 things of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, that ye dieH4191 notH3808.
