Numbers 18

1And Jehovah saidH559 unto AaronH175, Thou and thy sonsH1121 and thy fathers’H1 houseH1004 with thee shall bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of the sanctuaryH4720; and thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall bearH5375 the iniquityH5771 of your priesthoodH3550. 2And thy brethren alsoH1571, the tribeH4294 of LeviH3878, the tribeH4294 of thy fatherH1, bringH7126 thou near with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall be before the tentH168 of the testimonyH5715. 3And they shall keepH8104 thy chargeH4931, and the chargeH4931 of all the TentH168: onlyH389 they shall not come nigh unto the vesselsH3627 of the sanctuaryH6944 and unto the altarH4196, that they dieH4191 not, neither they, nor ye. 4And they shall be joined unto thee, and keepH8104 the chargeH4931 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, for all the serviceH5656 of the TentH168: and a stranger shall not come nigh unto you. 5And ye shall keepH8104 the chargeH4931 of the sanctuaryH6944, and the chargeH4931 of the altarH4196; that there beH1961 wrathH7110 no more upon the children of IsraelH3478. 6And I, behold, I have takenH3947 your brethren the LevitesH3881 from among the children of IsraelH3478: to you they are a giftH4979, givenH5414 unto Jehovah, to do the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 7And thou and thy sonsH1121 with thee shall keepH8104 your priesthoodH3550 for everythingH3605 of the altarH4196, and for that within the veil; and ye shall serveH5647: I giveH5414 you the priesthoodH3550 as a serviceH5656 of giftH4979: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be putH5414 to deathH4191.

8And Jehovah spake unto AaronH175, And I, behold, I have givenH5414 thee the chargeH4931 of my heave-offerings, even all the hallowed things of the children of IsraelH3478; unto thee have I givenH5414 them by reason of the anointingH4888, and to thy sonsH1121, as a portionH2706 for everH5769. 9This shall beH1961 thine of the most holyH6944 thingsH6944, reserved from the fireH784: every oblation of theirs, even every meal-offering of theirs, and every sin-offering of theirs, and every trespass-offering of theirs, which they shall render unto me, shall beH1961 most holyH6944 for thee and for thy sonsH1121. 10As the most holyH6944 thingsH6944 shalt thou eatH398 thereof; every maleH2145 shall eatH398 thereof: it shall beH1961 holyH6944 unto thee. 11And this is thine: the heave-offering of their giftH4976, even all the wave-offerings of the children of IsraelH3478; I have givenH5414 them unto thee, and to thy sonsH1121 and to thy daughtersH1323 with thee, as a portionH2706 for everH5769; every oneH2088 that is cleanH2889 in thy houseH1004 shall eatH398 thereof. 12All the best of the oilH3323, and all the best of the vintage, and of the grainH1715, the first-fruits of them which they giveH5414 unto Jehovah, to thee have I givenH5414 them. 13The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their landH776, which they bringH935 unto Jehovah, shall beH1961 thine; every one that is cleanH2889 in thy houseH1004 shall eatH398 thereof. 14EverythingH3605 devoted in IsraelH3478 shall beH1961 thine. 15EverythingH3605 that openeth the wombH7358, of all fleshH1320 which they offer unto Jehovah, both of manH120 and beast shall beH1961 thine: neverthelessH389 the first-born of manH120 shalt thou surelyH389 redeemH6299, and the firstling of uncleanH2931 beasts shalt thou redeemH6299. 16And those that are to be redeemedH6299 of them from a monthH2320 old shalt thou redeemH6299, according to thine estimation, for the moneyH3701 of fiveH2568 shekelsH8255, after the shekelH8255 of the sanctuaryH6944 (the same is twentyH6242 gerahsH1626). 17But the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goatH5795, thou shalt not redeemH6299; they are holyH6944: thou shalt sprinkleH2236 their bloodH1818 upon the altarH4196, and shalt burn their fatH2459 for an offeringH801 made by fireH801, for a sweet savor unto Jehovah. 18And the fleshH1320 of them shall beH1961 thine, as the wave-breast and as the rightH3225 thighH7785, it shall beH1961 thine. 19All the heave-offerings of the holyH6944 thingsH6944, which the children of IsraelH3478 offerH7311 unto Jehovah, have I givenH5414 thee, and thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323 with thee, as a portionH2706 for everH5769: it is a covenantH1285 of saltH4417 for everH5769 before Jehovah unto thee and to thy seedH2233 with thee. 20And Jehovah saidH559 unto AaronH175, Thou shalt have no inheritanceH5159 in their landH776, neither shalt thou have any portionH2506 among them: I am thy portionH2506 and thine inheritanceH5159 among the children of IsraelH3478.

21And unto the children of LeviH3878, behold, I have givenH5414 all the titheH4643 in IsraelH3478 for an inheritanceH5159, in returnH2500 for their serviceH5656 which they serveH5647, even the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 22And henceforth the children of IsraelH3478 shall not come nigh the tentH168 of meetingH4150, lest they bearH5375 sinH2399, and dieH4191. 23But the LevitesH3881 shall do the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and they shall bearH5375 their iniquityH5771: it shall be a statuteH2708 for everH5769 throughout your generationsH1755; and among the children of IsraelH3478 they shall have no inheritanceH5159. 24For the titheH4643 of the children of IsraelH3478, which they offerH7311 as a heave-offering unto Jehovah, I have givenH5414 to the LevitesH3881 for an inheritanceH5159: thereforeH3651 I have saidH559 unto them, Among the children of IsraelH3478 they shall have no inheritanceH5159.

25And Jehovah spake unto MosesH4872, sayingH559, 26Moreover thou shalt speakH1696 unto the LevitesH3881, and sayH559 unto them, When ye takeH3947 of the children of IsraelH3478 the titheH4643 which I have givenH5414 you from them for your inheritanceH5159, then ye shall offerH7311 up a heave-offering of it for Jehovah, a titheH4643 of the titheH4643. 27And your heave-offering shall be reckonedH2803 unto you, as though it were the grainH1715 of the threshing-floor, and as the fulness of the winepressH3342. 28ThusH3651 ye alsoH1571 shall offerH7311 a heave-offering unto Jehovah of all your tithesH4643, which ye receiveH3947 of the children of IsraelH3478; and thereof ye shall giveH5414 Jehovah’s heave-offering to AaronH175 the priestH3548. 29Out of all your giftsH4979 ye shall offerH7311 every heave-offering of Jehovah, of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it. 30Therefore thou shalt sayH559 unto them, When ye heave the best thereof from it, then it shall be reckonedH2803 unto the LevitesH3881 as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the winepressH3342. 31And ye shall eatH398 it in every placeH4725, ye and your householdsH1004: for it is your rewardH7939 in returnH2500 for your serviceH5656 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 32And ye shall bearH5375 no sinH2399 by reason of it, when ye have heaved from it the best thereof: and ye shall not profaneH2490 the holyH6918 things of the children of IsraelH3478, that ye dieH4191 not.
