Numbers 24
1And BalaamH1109 sawH7200 that it was goodH2895 in the sight of Jehovah to blessH1288 IsraelH3478, and he wentH1980 not, as at other timesH6471, to seek for enchantments, but he setH7896 his faceH6440 toward the wildernessH4057. 2And BalaamH1109 liftedH5375 up his eyesH5869 and sawH7200 IsraelH3478 dwellingH7931 [in tents] according to his tribesH7626; and the SpiritH7307 of 1GodH430 came upon him. 3And he tookH5375 up his parableH4912, and saidH559, BalaamH1109 the sonH1121 of BeorH1160 saith, and the manH1397 of opened eyeH5869 saith, 4He saith, who heareth the wordsH561 of 2GodH410, who seeth the visionH4236 of the AlmightyH7706, who falleth downH5307, and who hath his eyesH5869 open: 5HowH4100 goodly are thy tentsH168, JacobH3290, and thy tabernacles, IsraelH3478! 6Like valleys are they spreadH5186 forth, like gardensH1593 by the riverH5104 side, Like aloe-trees which Jehovah hath plantedH5193, like cedarsH730 beside the watersH4325. 7WaterH4325 shall flowH5140 out of his buckets, and his seedH2233 shall be in greatH7227 watersH4325, And his kingH4428 shall be higherH7311 than AgagH90, and his kingdomH4438 shall be exaltedH7311. 83GodH410 broughtH3318 him out of EgyptH4714; he hath as it were the strength of a buffalo. He shall consumeH398 the nationsH1471 his enemies, and break their bonesH6106, and with his arrowsH2671 shall smite [them] in pieces. 9He stooped, he layH7901 downH7901 like a lionH738, and like a lionessH3833: who will stir him up? BlessedH1288 is he that blesseth thee, and cursedH779 is he that curseth thee. 10Then Balak's angerH639 was kindled against BalaamH1109, and he smote his handsH3709 together; and BalakH1111 saidH559 to BalaamH1109, I calledH7121 thee to curseH6895 mine enemiesH341, and behold, thou hast altogether blessedH1288 [them] these threeH7969 timesH6471! 11And nowH6258 fleeH1272 thou to thy placeH4725; I saidH559 I would very highly honour thee, and behold, Jehovah has kept thee back from honour. 12And BalaamH1109 saidH559 to BalakH1111, Did I not alsoH1571 speakH1696 to thy messengersH4397 whom thou sentest to me, sayingH559, 13If BalakH1111 gaveH5414 me his houseH1004 full of silverH3701 and goldH2091, I could not go beyond the commandment of Jehovah to do goodH2896 or badH7451 out of my heartH3820: what Jehovah shall sayH1696, that will I speakH1696? 14And nowH6258 behold, I goH1980 to my peopleH5971: comeH1980, I will admonish thee what this peopleH5971 will do to thy peopleH5971 at the endH319 of daysH3117. 15And he tookH5375 up his parableH4912, and saidH559, BalaamH1109 the sonH1121 of BeorH1160 saith, and the manH1397 of opened eyeH5869 saith, 16He saith, who heareth the wordsH561 of 4GodH410, who knoweth the knowledgeH1847 of the Most High, Who seeth the visionH4236 of the AlmightyH7706, who falleth downH5307, and who hath his eyesH5869 open: 17I shall seeH7200 him, but not nowH6258; I shall behold him, but not nigh: There cometh a StarH3556 out of JacobH3290, and a Sceptre shall riseH6965 out of IsraelH3478, and he shall cut in pieces the cornersH6285 of MoabH4124, and destroy all the sonsH1121 of tumult. 18And EdomH123 shall beH1961 a possession, and SeirH8165 a possession, — they, his enemiesH341; but IsraelH3478 will do valiantly. 19And one out of JacobH3290 shall have dominion, and will destroyH6 out of the cityH5892 what remaineth. 20And he sawH7200 AmalekH6002, and tookH5375 up his parableH4912, and saidH559, AmalekH6002 is the firstH7225 of the nationsH1471, but his latterH319 endH319 shall be for destructionH8. 21And he sawH7200 the Kenites, and tookH5375 up his parableH4912, and saidH559, Firm is thy dwelling-place, and thy nestH7064 fixed in the rockH5553; 22But the Kenite shall beH1961 consumed, until AsshurH804 shall carry thee away captiveH7617. 23And he tookH5375 up his parableH4912, and saidH559, Alas! Who shall liveH2421 when 5GodH410 doeth this? 24And shipsH6716 shall come from the coast of Chittim, and afflictH6031 AsshurH804, and afflictH6031 EberH5677, and he alsoH1571 shall be for destructionH8. 25And BalaamH1109 roseH6965 up, and wentH1980 and returnedH7725 to his placeH4725; and BalakH1111 alsoH1571 wentH1980 his wayH1870.
