1And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872 sayingH559, 2SpeakH1696 unto AaronH175, and sayH559 unto him, When thou lightest the lampsH5216, the sevenH7651 lampsH5216 shall giveH215 lightH215 over against the candlestick. 3And AaronH175 did soH3651; he lighted the lampsH5216 thereof over against the candlestick, as Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872. 4And this was the workH4639 of the candlestick: [it was] of beaten goldH2091; from its baseH3409 to its flowers was it beaten workH4639; according to the formH4758 which Jehovah had shewn MosesH4872, soH3651 had he madeH6213 the candlestick. 5And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 6TakeH3947 the LevitesH3881 from among the children of IsraelH3478, and cleanseH2891 them. 7And thusH3541 shalt thou do unto them, to cleanseH2891 them: sprinkle upon them waterH4325 of purification from sinH2403; and they shall passH5674 the razorH8593 over all their fleshH1320, and shall washH3526 their garmentsH899, and makeH6213 themselves cleanH2891. 8And they shall takeH3947 a youngH1121 bullock and its oblation of fineH5560 flourH5560 mingled with oilH8081; and another youngH1121 bullock shalt thou takeH3947 for a sin-offering. 9And thou shalt bringH7126 the LevitesH3881 before the tentH168 of meetingH4150; and thou shalt gather togetherH6950 the whole assemblyH5712 of the children of IsraelH3478. 10And thou shalt bringH7126 the LevitesH3881 before Jehovah; and the children of IsraelH3478 shall put their handsH3027 upon the LevitesH3881. 11And AaronH175 shall offer the LevitesH3881 as a wave-offering before Jehovah from the children of IsraelH3478, and they shall perform the serviceH5656 of Jehovah. 12And the LevitesH3881 shall lay their handsH3027 upon the headsH7218 of the bullocks, and thou shalt offerH6213 the oneH259 for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, to Jehovah, to makeH6213 atonementH3722 for the LevitesH3881. 13And thou shalt setH5975 the LevitesH3881 before AaronH175, and before his sonsH1121, and offer them as a wave-offering to Jehovah. 14And thou shalt separateH914 the LevitesH3881 from among the children of IsraelH3478, that the LevitesH3881 may beH1961 mine. 15And afterwards shall the LevitesH3881 comeH935 in to do the service of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. And thou shalt cleanseH2891 them, and offer them as a wave-offering. 16For they are wholly givenH5414 unto me from among the children of IsraelH3478; instead of every one that breaketh open the wombH7358, instead of every firstbornH1060 among the children of IsraelH3478, have I takenH3947 them unto me. 17For all the firstbornH1060 among the children of IsraelH3478 are mine, both of manH120 and beast; on the dayH3117 that I smote every firstbornH1060 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, I hallowed them to myself. 18And I have takenH3947 the LevitesH3881 instead of all the firstbornH1060 among the children of IsraelH3478. 19And I have givenH5414 the LevitesH3881 as a gift to AaronH175 and to his sonsH1121, from among the children of IsraelH3478, to perform the serviceH5656 of the children of IsraelH3478 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and to makeH5414 atonementH3722 for the children of IsraelH3478; that there beH1961 no plagueH5063 among the children of IsraelH3478, when the children of IsraelH3478 drawH5066 near to the sanctuaryH6944. 20And MosesH4872 and AaronH175, and all the assemblyH5712 of the children of IsraelH3478, did to the LevitesH3881 according to all that Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872 concerning the LevitesH3881: soH3651 did the children of IsraelH3478 to them. 21And the LevitesH3881 purifiedH2891 themselves from sinH2398, and they washedH3526 their garmentsH899; and AaronH175 offered them as a wave-offering before Jehovah; and AaronH175 made atonementH3722 for them to cleanseH2891 them. 22And afterwards the LevitesH3881 cameH935 in to perform their serviceH5656 in the tentH168 of meetingH4150 before AaronH175, and before his sonsH1121; as Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872 concerning the LevitesH3881, soH3651 did they to them. 23And Jehovah spokeH1696 to MosesH4872, sayingH559, 24This is that which concerneth the LevitesH3881: from twenty-five yearsH8141 old and upwardH4605 shall he comeH935 to labour in the workH5656 of the serviceH5656 of the tentH168 of meetingH4150. 25And from fiftyH2572 yearsH8141 old he shall retire from the labour of the serviceH5656, and shall serveH5647 no more; 26but he shall minister with his brethren in the tentH168 of meetingH4150, and keepH8104 the chargeH4931, but he shall not serveH5647 [in] the serviceH5656. ThusH3602 shalt thou do unto the LevitesH3881 with regard to their charges.
