1And the chiefH7218 fathersH1 of familiesH4940 of the sonsH1121 of GileadH1568, the sonH1121 of Machir, the sonH1121 of ManassehH4519, of the familiesH4940 of the sonsH1121 of JosephH3130, came near, and spokeH1696 before MosesH4872, and before the princesH5387, the chiefH7218 fathersH1 of the children of IsraelH3478: 2and they saidH559, Jehovah commandedH6680 my lord to giveH5414 the landH776 for an inheritanceH5159 by lotH1486 to the children of IsraelH3478; and my lord was commandedH6680 by Jehovah to giveH5414 the inheritanceH5159 of ZelophehadH6765 our brotherH251 to his daughtersH1323. 3Now if they beH1961 married to any of the sonsH1121 of the [other] tribesH7626 of the children of IsraelH3478, then shall their inheritanceH5159 beH1961 taken from the inheritanceH5159 of our fathersH1, and shall beH1961 addedH3254 to the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 to which they shall belongH1961; and it shall beH1961 taken from the lotH1486 of our inheritanceH5159. 4And when the jubileeH3104 of the children of IsraelH3478 shall come, then shall their inheritanceH5159 beH1961 addedH3254 to the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 to which they shall belongH1961; and their inheritanceH5159 shall beH1961 taken away from the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 of our fathersH1. 5And MosesH4872 commandedH6680 the children of IsraelH3478 according to the word of Jehovah, sayingH559, The tribeH4294 of the sonsH1121 of JosephH3130 hath saidH559 well. 6This is the thingH1697 which Jehovah hath commandedH6680 concerning the daughtersH1323 of ZelophehadH6765, sayingH559, Let them marry whom they please; onlyH389 they shall marry oneH2088 of the tribeH4294 of their fatherH1, 7that no inheritanceH5159 of the children of IsraelH3478 pass from tribeH4294 to tribeH4294; for every oneH376 of the children of IsraelH3478 shall keep to the inheritanceH5159 of the tribeH4294 of his fathersH1. 8And every daughterH1323 that possesseth an inheritanceH5159 among the tribesH4294 of the children of IsraelH3478, shall beH1961 married to oneH259 of the familyH4940 of the tribeH4294 of her fatherH1, that the children of IsraelH3478 may possessH3423 every oneH259 the inheritanceH5159 of his fathersH1, 9and the inheritanceH5159 shall not pass from oneH376 tribeH4294 to another tribeH4294; for each of the tribesH4294 of the children of IsraelH3478 shall keep to his inheritanceH5159. 10Even as Jehovah had commandedH6680 MosesH4872, soH3651 did the daughtersH1323 of ZelophehadH6765; 11and MahlahH4244, TirzahH8656, and HoglahH2295, and MilcahH4435, and NoahH5270, the daughtersH1323 of ZelophehadH6765, wereH1961 married unto their uncles' sonsH1121. 12To those that wereH1961 of the familiesH4940 of the sonsH1121 of ManassehH4519 the sonH1121 of JosephH3130 wereH1961 they married; and their inheritanceH5159 remained in the tribeH4294 of the familyH4940 of their fatherH1. 13These are the commandmentsH4687 and the ordinancesH4941 which Jehovah commandedH6680 through MosesH4872 to the children of IsraelH3478, in the plainsH6160 of MoabH4124, by the JordanH3383 of JerichoH3405.
