Matthew 22:15-22
ThenG5119 wentG4198 the PhariseesG5330 and held a council howG3704 they might ensnare him in speaking.
And they sendG649 out to him their disciplesG3101 with the HerodiansG2265, sayingG3004, TeacherG1320, we know that thou art trueG227 and teachest the wayG3598 of 1GodG2316 in truthG225, and carest not for any oneG3762, for thou regardest not men's person;
tellG3004 us thereforeG3767 what thou thinkest: Is it lawfulG1832 to giveG1325 tribute to CaesarG2541, or not?
But JesusG2424, knowingG1097 their wickednessG4189, saidG3004, WhyG5101 temptG3985 ye me, hypocritesG5273?
Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denariusG1220.
And he saysG3004 to them, Whose [is] this imageG1504 and superscription?
They sayG3004 to him, Caesar's. Then he saysG3004 to them, PayG591 then what is Caesar's to CaesarG2541, and what is 2God's to 3GodG2316.
And when they heardG191 [him], they wonderedG2296, and leftG863 him, and wentG565 awayG565.
