Darby Bible
John 8:33-40
They answeredG611 him, We areG1510 Abraham's seedG4690, and have never beenG1510 under bondage to any oneG3762; howG4459 sayest thou, Ye shall becomeG1096 freeG1658?
JesusG2424 answeredG611 them, Verily, verily, I sayG3004 to you, Every oneG3588 that practises sinG266 isG1510 the bondman of sinG266.
NowG1161 the bondman abidesG3306 not in the houseG3614 for ever: the sonG5207 abidesG3306 for ever.
If thereforeG3767 the SonG5207 shall setG1659 you freeG1658, ye shall beG1510 really freeG1658.
I know that ye areG1510 Abraham's seedG4690; but ye seekG2212 to killG615 me, because my wordG3056 has no entrance in you.
I speakG2980 what I have seenG3708 with my FatherG3962, and ye then do what ye have seenG3708 with your fatherG3962.
They answeredG611 and saidG3004 to him, AbrahamG11 isG1510 our fatherG3962. JesusG2424 saysG3004 to them, If ye wereG1510 Abraham's childrenG5043, ye would do the worksG2041 of AbrahamG11;
but nowG1161 ye seekG2212 to killG615 me, a manG444 who has spokenG2980 the truthG225 to you, which I have heardG191 from 1GodG2316: this did not AbrahamG11.
