Hebrews 9:8-24
the HolyG40 SpiritG4151 shewing this, that the wayG3598 of the [holyG40 of] holiesG40 has not yetG2089 been madeG5319 manifestG5319 while as yetG2089 the firstG4413 tabernacleG4633 has [its] standing;
the which [is] an image for the presentG1764 timeG2540, accordingG2596 to which both giftsG1435 and sacrificesG2378, unable to perfectG5048 as to conscienceG4893 him that worshipped, are offeredG4374,
[consisting] onlyG3440 of meats and drinks and divers washings, ordinances of fleshG4561, imposed until [the] timeG2540 of setting things right.
But ChristG5547 beingG1510 comeG1096 highG749 priestG749 of the goodG18 thingsG3778 to comeG1096, by the better and more perfectG5046 tabernacleG4633 not made with hand, (that isG1510, not of this creationG2937,)
nor by bloodG129 of goatsG5131 and calvesG3448, but by his ownG2398 bloodG129, has enteredG1525 in onceG2178 for all into the [holyG40 of] holiesG40, having foundG2147 an eternalG166 redemptionG3085.
For if the bloodG129 of goatsG5131 and bullsG5022, and a heifer's ashesG4700 sprinkling the defiledG2840, sanctifiesG37 for the purity of the fleshG4561,
howG4214 muchG4214 ratherG3123 shall the bloodG129 of the ChristG5547, who by the eternalG166 SpiritG4151 offeredG4374 himself spotless to 1GodG2316, purifyG2511 your conscienceG4893 from deadG3498 worksG2041 to worshipG3000 [the] livingG2198 2GodG2316?
And for this reason he isG1510 mediatorG3316 of a newG2537 covenantG1242, so that, deathG2288 having taken placeG1096 for redemptionG629 of the transgressionsG3847 under the firstG4413 covenantG1242, the calledG2564 might receiveG2983 the promiseG1860 of the eternalG166 inheritanceG2817.
(For whereG3699 [there is] a testament, the deathG2288 of the testator must needs come in.
For a testament [is] of force whenG3753 men are deadG3498, since it is in no way of force while the testator is aliveG2198.)
Whence neither the firstG4413 was inaugurated without bloodG129.
For every commandmentG1785 having been spokenG2980 accordingG2596 to [the] lawG3551 by MosesG3475 to all the peopleG2992; having takenG2983 the bloodG129 of calvesG3448 and goatsG5131, with waterG5204 and scarletG2847 woolG2053 and hyssopG5301, he sprinkled both the bookG975 itself and all the peopleG2992,
sayingG3004, This [is] the bloodG129 of the covenantG1242 which 3GodG2316 has enjoined to you.
And the tabernacleG4633 too and all the vesselsG4632 of serviceG3009 he sprinkled in like manner with bloodG129;
and almostG4975 all thingsG3956 are purified with bloodG129 accordingG2596 to the lawG3551, and without blood-shedding there is no remission.
[It was] necessaryG318 thenG3767 that the figurative representations of the thingsG3778 in the heavensG3772 should be purified with these; but the heavenlyG2032 thingsG3778 themselves with sacrificesG2378 better than these.
For the ChristG5547 is not enteredG1525 into holyG40 places made with hand, figures of the trueG228, but into heavenG3772 itself, nowG3568 to appear before the faceG4383 of 4GodG2316 for us:
