Darby Bible

1And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, GoH935 in unto PharaohH6547, and tell him, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah the 1GodH430 of the HebrewsH5680: Let my peopleH5971 goH935, that they may serveH5647 me. 2For if thou refuse to let them goH7971, and shalt retain them stillH5750, 3behold, the handH3027 of Jehovah shall beH1961 on thy cattleH1241 which is in the fieldH7704, on the horsesH5483, on the asses, on the camelsH1581, on the oxenH1241 and on the sheepH6629, with a veryH3966 grievous plagueH1698. 4And Jehovah will distinguish between the cattle of IsraelH3478 and the cattle of EgyptH4714; and there shall nothing dieH4191 of all that the children of IsraelH3478 have. 5And Jehovah appointedH4150 a setH7760 timeH4150, sayingH559, To-morrow will Jehovah do this thingH1697 in the landH776. 6And Jehovah did this thingH1697 on the following dayH4283, and all the cattle of EgyptH4713 diedH4191; but of the cattle of the children of IsraelH3478 diedH4191 not oneH259. 7And PharaohH6547 sentH7971, and behold, there was not oneH259 of the cattle of the Israelites deadH4191. But the heartH3820 of PharaohH6547 was hardened, and he did not let the peopleH5971 goH7971. 8And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872 and to AaronH175, TakeH3947 to yourselves handfuls of ashes of the furnaceH3536, and let MosesH4872 scatter it toward the heavensH8064 before the eyesH5869 of PharaohH6547. 9And it shall becomeH1961 fine dustH80 over all the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and shall becomeH1961 boilsH7822 on manH120 and on cattleH929, breakingH6524 out [with] blisters, throughout the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 10And they tookH3947 ashes of the furnaceH3536, and stoodH5975 before PharaohH6547; and MosesH4872 sprinkledH2236 it toward the heavensH8064; and it becameH1961 boilsH7822 [with] blisters breakingH6524 out on manH120 and on cattleH929. 11And the scribes could not standH5975 before MosesH4872 because of the boilsH7822; for the boilsH7822 wereH1961 on the scribes, and on all the EgyptiansH4713. 12And Jehovah madeH2388 Pharaoh's heartH3820 stubborn, and he did not hearken to them, as Jehovah had told MosesH4872. 13And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, RiseH7925 up earlyH7925 in the morningH1242, and set thyself before PharaohH6547, and sayH559 to him, ThusH3541 saith Jehovah, the 2GodH430 of the HebrewsH5680: Let my peopleH5971 goH7971, that they may serveH5647 me. 14For I will at this timeH6471 sendH7971 all my plaguesH4046 to thy heartH3820, and on thy bondmen, and on thy peopleH5971; that thou mayest knowH3045 that there is none like me in all the earthH776. 15For nowH6258 shall I put forthH7971 my handH3027, and I will smite thee and thy peopleH5971 with pestilenceH1698; and thou shalt be cut off from the earthH776. 16And for this very cause have I raised thee up, to shew thee my powerH3581; and that my nameH8034 may be declared in all the earthH776. 17Dost thou stillH5750 exalt thyself against my peopleH5971, that thou wilt not let them goH7971? 18Behold, to-morrow about this timeH6256 I will cause it to rainH4305 a veryH3966 grievous hailH1259, such as hath not beenH1961 in EgyptH4714 since its foundation until nowH6258. 19And nowH6258 sendH7971, [and] secure thy cattleH929, and all that thou hast in the fieldH7704: all the menH120 and the cattleH929 that are foundH4672 in the fieldH7704, and are not broughtH3381 home — on them the hailH1259 shall comeH3381 down, and they shall dieH4191. 20He that fearedH3372 the wordH1697 of Jehovah among the bondmen of PharaohH6547 made his bondmen and his cattle fleeH5127 into the housesH1004. 21But he that did not regard the wordH1697 of Jehovah leftH5800 his bondmen and his cattle in the fieldH7704. 22And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, StretchH5186 out thy handH3027 toward the heavensH8064, that there may beH1961 hailH1259 throughout the landH776 of EgyptH4714, upon menH120, and upon cattleH929, and upon every herb of the fieldH7704 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 23And MosesH4872 stretchedH5186 out his staffH4294 toward the heavensH8064, and Jehovah gaveH5414 thunderH6963 and hailH1259; and the fireH784 ran along the groundH776; and Jehovah rainedH4305 hailH1259 on the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 24And there wasH1961 hailH1259, and fireH784 mingled with the hailH1259, veryH3966 grievous, such as there had beenH1961 none like it in all the landH776 of EgyptH4714 since it becameH1961 a nationH1471. 25And the hailH1259 smote throughout the landH776 of EgyptH4714 all that was in the fieldH7704, both menH120 and cattleH929; and the hailH1259 smote every herb of the fieldH7704, and brokeH7665 every treeH6086 of the fieldH7704. 26OnlyH7535 in the landH776 of GoshenH1657, whereH834 the children of IsraelH3478 were, wasH1961 there no hailH1259. 27And PharaohH6547 sentH7971, and calledH7121 MosesH4872 and AaronH175, and saidH559 to them, I have sinnedH2398 this timeH6471: Jehovah is the righteousH6662 [oneH6662], but I and my peopleH5971 are the wickedH7563 [onesH6662]. 28Intreat Jehovah that it may beH1961 enoughH7227, that there beH1961 no more thunderH6963 of 3GodH430 and hailH1259; and I will let you goH7971, and ye shall stay no longer! 29And MosesH4872 saidH559 to him, When I goH3318 out of the cityH5892, I will spreadH6566 out my handsH3709 to Jehovah: the thunderH6963 will ceaseH2308, and there will beH1961 no more hailH1259; that thou mayest knowH3045 that the earthH776 is Jehovah's. 30But as to thee and thy bondmen, I knowH3045 that ye do not yet fearH3372 Jehovah Elohim. 31And the flaxH6594 and the barleyH8184 were smitten; for the barleyH8184 was in the earH24, and the flaxH6594 was bolled. 32But the wheatH2406 and the speltH3698 were not smitten; for they were not come out into ear. 33And MosesH4872 wentH3318 out of the cityH5892 from PharaohH6547, and spreadH6566 out his handsH3709 to Jehovah; and the thunders and hailH1259 ceasedH2308, and the rainH4306 was not [any more] pouredH5413 on the earthH776. 34And PharaohH6547 sawH7200 that the rainH4306 and the hailH1259 and the thunders had ceasedH2308, and he sinnedH2398 yet more, and hardened his heartH3820, he, and his bondmen. 35And the heartH3820 of PharaohH6547 was stubborn, neither would he let the children of IsraelH3478 goH7971, as Jehovah had spokenH1696 by MosesH4872.
