Darby Bible
1And he saidH559 to MosesH4872, GoH5927 up to Jehovah, thou and AaronH175, NadabH5070 and AbihuH30, and seventyH7657 of the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478; and worship afarH7350 off. 2And let MosesH4872 aloneH905 comeH5927 near Jehovah; but they shall not comeH5927 near; neither shall the peopleH5971 goH5927 up with him. 3And MosesH4872 cameH935 and told the peopleH5971 all the wordsH1697 of Jehovah, and all the judgmentsH4941; and all the peopleH5971 answered with oneH259 voiceH6963, and saidH559, All the wordsH1697 that Jehovah has saidH559 will we do! 4And MosesH4872 wroteH3789 all the wordsH1697 of Jehovah, and roseH7925 up earlyH7925 in the morningH1242, and builtH1129 an altarH4196 under the mountainH2022, and twelve pillarsH4676, according to the twelve tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478. 5And he sentH7971 the youthsH5288 of the children of IsraelH3478, and they offeredH5927 up burnt-offerings, and sacrificedH2076 sacrificesH2077 of peace-offering of bullocks to Jehovah. 6And MosesH4872 tookH3947 halfH2677 the bloodH1818, and putH7760 [it] in basons; and halfH2677 of the bloodH1818 he sprinkledH2236 on the altarH4196. 7And he tookH3947 the bookH5612 of the covenantH1285, and readH7121 [it] in the earsH241 of the peopleH5971; and they saidH559, All that Jehovah has saidH559 will we do, and obey! 8And MosesH4872 tookH3947 the bloodH1818, and sprinkledH2236 [it] on the peopleH5971, and saidH559, Behold the bloodH1818 of the covenantH1285 that Jehovah has madeH3772 with you concerning all these wordsH1697. 9And MosesH4872 and AaronH175, NadabH5070 and AbihuH30, and seventyH7657 of the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 wentH5927 up; 10and they sawH7200 the 1GodH430 of IsraelH3478; and there was under his feetH7272 as it were workH4639 of transparent sapphireH5601, and as it were the form of heavenH8064 for clearness. 11And on the nobles of the children of IsraelH3478 he laid not his handH3027: they sawH2372 2GodH430, and ateH398 and drankH8354. 12And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, Come up to me into the mountainH2022, and beH1961 there; and I will giveH5414 thee the tables of stoneH68, and the lawH8451, and the commandmentH4687 that I have writtenH3789, for their instructionH8451. 13And MosesH4872 roseH6965 up, and JoshuaH3091 his attendant; and MosesH4872 wentH5927 up to the mountainH2022 of 3GodH430. 14And he saidH559 to the eldersH2205, Wait hereH2009 for us, until we returnH7725 to you; and behold, AaronH175 and HurH2354 are with you: if any manH2205 have any matterH1697, let him come before them. 15And MosesH4872 wentH5927 up to the mountainH2022, and the cloudH6051 coveredH3680 the mountainH2022. 16And the gloryH3519 of Jehovah abode on mount SinaiH5514, and the cloudH6051 coveredH3680 it sixH8337 daysH3117; and on the seventhH7637 dayH3117 he calledH7121 to MosesH4872 out of the midstH8432 of the cloudH6051. 17And the appearanceH4758 of the gloryH3519 of Jehovah was like a consumingH398 fireH784 on the topH7218 of the mountainH2022, before the eyesH5869 of the children of IsraelH3478. 18And MosesH4872 wentH935 into the midstH8432 of the cloudH6051, and ascended the mountainH2022. And MosesH4872 wasH1961 on the mountainH2022 fortyH705 daysH3117 and fortyH705 nightsH3915.
