1And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, Hew for thyself twoH8147 tables of stoneH68 like the firstH7223; and I will writeH3789 upon the tables the wordsH1697 that were upon the firstH7223 tables, which thou hast brokenH7665. 2And beH1961 ready for the morningH1242, and goH5927 up in the morningH1242 to mount SinaiH5514, and standH5324 there before me on the topH7218 of the mountainH2022. 3And let no manH376 goH5927 up with thee, neither shall any manH376 be seenH7200 on all the mountainH2022; neither shall sheepH6629 and oxenH1241 feedH7462 in frontH4136 of that mountainH2022. 4And he hewed twoH8147 tables of stoneH68 like the firstH7223; and MosesH4872 roseH7925 up earlyH7925 in the morningH1242 and wentH5927 up to mount SinaiH5514, as Jehovah had commandedH6680 him, and tookH3947 in his handH3027 the twoH8147 tables of stoneH68. 5And Jehovah cameH3381 downH3381 in the cloudH6051, and stoodH3320 beside him there, and proclaimedH7121 the nameH8034 of Jehovah. 6And Jehovah passedH5674 by before his faceH6440, and proclaimedH7121, Jehovah, Jehovah 1GodH410 merciful and graciousH2587, slow to angerH639, and abundant in goodness and truthH571, 7keepingH5341 mercy unto thousandsH505, forgivingH5375 iniquityH5771 and transgressionH6588 and sinH2403, but by no means clearing [the guilty]; visitingH6485 the iniquityH5771 of the fathersH1 upon the children, and upon the children's children, upon the thirdH8029 and upon the fourthH7256 [generationH8029]. 8And MosesH4872 madeH4116 hasteH4116, and bowedH7812 his head to the earthH776 and worshipped, 9and saidH559, If indeed I have foundH4672 graceH2580 in thine eyesH5869, LordH136, let the LordH136, I pray thee, go in our midstH7130; for it is a stiff-necked peopleH5971; and pardon our iniquityH5771 and our sinH2403, and takeH5157 us for an inheritanceH5157! 10And he saidH559, Behold, I makeH6213 a covenantH1285: before all thy peopleH5971 I will do marvels that have not been done in all the earthH776, nor in any nationH1471; and all the peopleH5971 in the midstH7130 of which thou [art] shall seeH7200 the workH4639 of Jehovah; for a terrible thing it shall be that I will do with thee. 11ObserveH8104 what I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117: behold, I will driveH1644 out before thee the AmoriteH567, and the CanaaniteH3669, and the HittiteH2850, and the PerizziteH6522, and the HiviteH2340, and the JebusiteH2983. 12TakeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself, that thou makeH3772 no covenantH1285 with the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776 to which thou shalt comeH935, lestH6435 it beH1961 a snareH4170 in the midstH7130 of thee; 13but ye shall demolish their altarsH4196, shatterH7665 their statues, and hew downH5422 their Asherahs. 14For thou shalt worship no otherH312 2GodH410; for Jehovah — JealousH7067 is his nameH8034 — is a jealousH7067 3GodH410; 15lestH6435 thou makeH3772 a covenantH1285 with the inhabitantsH3427 of the landH776, and then, when they go a whoring after their 4godsH430, and sacrificeH2077 unto their 5godsH430, thou be invited, and eatH398 of their sacrificeH2077, 16and thou takeH3947 of their daughtersH1323 unto thy sonsH1121, and their daughtersH1323 go a whoring after their 6godsH430, and make thy sonsH1121 go a whoring after their 7godsH430. 17— Thou shalt makeH6213 thyself no molten 8godsH430. 18— The feastH2282 of the unleavenedH4682 breadH4682 shalt thou keepH8104: sevenH7651 daysH3117 shalt thou eatH398 unleavenedH4682 breadH4682, as I have commandedH6680 thee, at the appointedH4150 time of the monthH2320 AbibH24; for in the monthH2320 AbibH24 thou camest out from EgyptH4714. 19— All that openeth the wombH7358 [is] mine; and all the cattle that is born a male, the firstling of oxH7794 and sheepH7716. 20But the firstling of an ass thou shalt ransomH6299 with a lambH7716; and if thou ransomH6299 [it] not, then shalt thou breakH6202 its neckH6202. All the first-born of thy sonsH1121 thou shalt ransomH6299; and none shall appearH7200 before me emptyH7387. 21— SixH8337 daysH3117 shalt thou workH5647, but on the seventhH7637 dayH3117 thou shalt rest; in ploughing time and in harvestH7105 thou shalt rest. 22— And thou shalt observeH6213 the feastH2282 of weeksH7620, of the first-fruits of wheat-harvest, and the feastH2282 of ingatheringH614 at the turn of the yearH8141. 23Thrice in the yearH8141 shall all thy malesH2138 appearH7200 before the Lord Jehovah, the 9GodH430 of IsraelH3478. 24For I will dispossessH3423 the nationsH1471 before thee, and enlargeH7337 thy borderH1366, and no manH376 shall desireH2530 thy landH776, when thou goest up to appearH7200 before the faceH6440 of Jehovah thy 10GodH430 thrice in the yearH8141. 25— Thou shalt not offer the bloodH1818 of my sacrificeH2077 with leavenH2557; neither shall the sacrificeH2077 of the feastH2282 of the passoverH6453 be left over night until the morningH1242. 26— The firstH7225 of the first-fruits of thy landH127 shalt thou bringH935 into the houseH1004 of Jehovah thy 11GodH430. Thou shalt not boilH1310 a kid in its mother's milkH2461. 27And Jehovah saidH559 to MosesH4872, WriteH3789 thee these wordsH1697; for after the tenor of these wordsH1697 have I madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with thee and with IsraelH3478. 28— And he wasH1961 there with Jehovah fortyH705 daysH3117 and fortyH705 nightsH3915; he ateH398 no breadH3899, and drankH8354 no waterH4325. — And he wroteH3789 on the tables the wordsH1697 of the covenantH1285, the tenH6235 wordsH1697. 29And it came to pass, when MosesH4872 came downH3381 from mount SinaiH5514 — and the twoH8147 tables of testimonyH5715 wereH1961 in Moses' handH3027, when he came downH3381 from the mountainH2022 — that MosesH4872 knewH3045 not that the skinH5785 of his faceH6440 shoneH7160 through his talking with him. 30And AaronH175 and all the children of IsraelH3478 sawH7200 MosesH4872, and behold, the skinH5785 of his faceH6440 shoneH7160; and they were afraidH3372 to come near him. 31And MosesH4872 calledH7121 to them; and they turnedH7725 to him, — AaronH175 and all the principal men of the assemblyH5712; and MosesH4872 talked with them. 32And afterwards, all the children of IsraelH3478 came near; and he gave them in commandment all that Jehovah had spokenH1696 with him on mount SinaiH5514. 33And MosesH4872 endedH3615 speakingH1696 with them; and he had putH5414 on his faceH6440 a veilH4533. 34And whenH834 MosesH4872 wentH3318 in before Jehovah to speakH1696 with him, he took the veilH4533 off, until he cameH935 out; and he cameH935 out, and spokeH1696 to the children of IsraelH3478 what he was commandedH6680. 35And the children of IsraelH3478 sawH7200 the faceH6440 of MosesH4872, that the skinH5785 of Moses' faceH6440 shoneH7160; and MosesH4872 put the veilH4533 on his faceH6440 again, until he wentH935 in to speakH1696 with him.
