Acts 6:8-15
8And StephenG4736, fullG4134 of graceG5485 and powerG1411, wrought wondersG5059 and greatG3173 signsG4592 among the peopleG2992. 9And there aroseG450 up certainG5100 of those of the synagogueG4864 called of freedmen, and of Cyrenians, and of Alexandrians, and of those of CiliciaG2791 and AsiaG773, disputing with StephenG4736. 10And they were not ableG2480 to resistG436 the wisdomG4678 and the SpiritG4151 with which he spokeG2980. 11Then they suborned menG435, sayingG3004, We have heardG191 him speakingG2980 blasphemous words against MosesG3475 and 1GodG2316. 12And they roused the peopleG2992, and the eldersG4245, and the scribesG1122. And coming upon [him] they seized him and broughtG71 [him] to the councilG4892. 13And they setG2476 falseG5571 witnessesG3144, sayingG3004, This manG444 does not ceaseG3973 speakingG2980 words against the holyG40 placeG5117 and the lawG3551; 14for we have heardG191 him sayingG3004, This JesusG2424 the Nazaraean shall destroyG2647 this placeG5117, and changeG236 the customsG1485 which MosesG3475 taught us. 15And all who sat in the councilG4892, lookingG816 fixedly on him, sawG3708 his faceG4383 as [the] faceG4383 of an angelG32.
