Darby Bible
2 Corinthians 5:1-9
1For we know that if our earthlyG1919 tabernacle houseG3614 be destroyedG2647, we have a buildingG3619 from 1GodG2316, a houseG3614 not made with handsG886, eternalG166 in the heavensG3772.
2For indeed in this we groanG4727, ardently desiring to have put on our house which [is] from heavenG3772;
3if indeed being alsoG2532 clothed we shall not be foundG2147 nakedG1131.
4For indeed we who areG1510 in the tabernacle groanG4727, beingG1510 burdenedG916; while yet we do not wishG2309 to beG1510 unclothed, but clothed, that [what isG1510] mortalG2349 may beG1510 swallowedG2666 up by lifeG2222.
5NowG1161 he that has wrought us for this very thingG3778 [is] 2GodG2316, who alsoG1161 has givenG1325 to us the earnest of the SpiritG4151.
6ThereforeG3767 [we are] alwaysG3842 confident, and know that while present in the bodyG4983 we are absentG1553 from the LordG2962,
7(for we walkG4043 by faithG4102, not by sight;)
8we are confident, I say, and pleased ratherG3123 to be absentG1553 from the bodyG4983 and present with the LordG2962.
9Wherefore alsoG2532 we areG1510 zealous, whether present or absentG1553, to beG1510 agreeable to him.
