2 Corinthians 4:5-18
5For we do not preachG2784 ourselves, but ChristG5547 JesusG2424 LordG2962, and ourselves your bondmen for Jesus' sakeG1223. 6Because [it is] the 1GodG2316 who spokeG3004 that out of darknessG4655 lightG5457 should shineG2989 who has shoneG2989 in our heartsG2588 for the shining forth of the knowledgeG1108 of the gloryG1391 of 2GodG2316 in [the] faceG4383 of [Jesus] ChristG5547. 7But we have this treasureG2344 in earthenG3749 vesselsG4632, that the surpassingness of the powerG1411 may beG1510 of 3GodG2316, and not from us: 8every way afflicted, but not straitened; seeing no apparent issue, but our way not entirely shut up; 9persecutedG1377, but not abandoned; cast down, but not destroyedG622; 10alwaysG3842 bearing about in the bodyG4983 the dying of JesusG2424, that the lifeG2222 alsoG2532 of JesusG2424 may be manifestedG5319 in our bodyG4983; 11for we who liveG2198 are alwaysG104 deliveredG3860 unto deathG2288 on accountG1223 of JesusG2424, that the lifeG2222 alsoG2532 of JesusG2424 may be manifestedG5319 in our mortalG2349 fleshG4561; 12so that deathG2288 worksG1754 in us, but lifeG2222 in you. 13And having the sameG846 spiritG4151 of faithG4102, accordingG2596 to what is writtenG1125, I have believedG4100, thereforeG1352 have I spokenG2980; we alsoG2532 believeG4100, thereforeG1352 alsoG2532 we speakG2980; 14knowing that he who has raisedG1453 the LordG2962 JesusG2424 shall raiseG1453 us alsoG2532 with JesusG2424, and shall presentG3936 [us] with you. 15For all thingsG3956 [are] for your sakesG1223, that the graceG5485 aboundingG4052 through the manyG4183 may cause thanksgivingG2169 to aboundG4052 to the gloryG1391 of 4GodG2316. 16Wherefore we faint not; but if indeed our outward manG444 is consumed, yet the inward is renewedG341 dayG2250 by dayG2250. 17For our momentary [and] light afflictionG2347 works for us in surpassing measure an eternalG166 weight of gloryG1391; 18while we lookG991 not at the things that are seenG991, but at the things that are not seenG991; for the things that are seenG991 [are] for a time, but those that are not seenG991 eternalG166.
